Guys I'm going on Wednesday as far as I know but my friend has tickets for the entire series so who knows really. Probably Wednesday though, psyched though, who's pitching? It's hard to cheer against the Twins though... Maybe I'll cheer for Joe Mauer but still cheer for the Sox. Did I mention I was psyched?

Welcome, we have a few Texans who have posted here that I can think of. Anyways, I'm jealous that you went to Fenway, I want to go so bad, probably won't anytime soon, but I'm from Minnesota, I will probably be going to one of the games in the upcoming series. Sox opening up Target Field.

I don't think that anyone expects Matsui and Damon to out-perform them this year, the logic was, that they weren't going to outperform what Matsui and Damon did last year. I doubt that they will be able to do that.

By what standard though? I don't see anything that leads me to believe he was anything but a sub-par shortstop in the past five years. If you could explain to me what it is that's so misleading, I'd gladly listen, but I'll trust UZR over any other defensive stat, eight days a week.

He's closer to god-awful than he is to great. Most people judge him based on a couple of nice plays he made back about 5 or 6 years ago, and say "YEAH HE WAS A GREAT DEFENDER", but they miss the stats, which say he really isn't that great. I remember all the Yankee fans blowing their load over his awesome defense 'cause he made a really awesome play a few years ago, but he's really just a mediocre defender at best. And for the record, his UZR numbers have been pretty bad for the past 5 years. Wouldn't exactly call them average.

I'll take Honus Wagner, thank ya very much. And his first post is bragging how good Jeter is, and how fun he is to watch. He basically blows his load over Jeter in his first post. If that's clear trolling, dunno what is. And seriously, Jeter is god awful at defense.

I think they're saying Kolb is going to be penciled in as the starter, but I'd say Vick probably gives him a good run for his money.

I am going to Target Field's opening series, well, one game of that series. My friend got tons of tickets for the season, so maybe you'll see me on TV? For those of you who don't know, Target Field opens against the Red Sox.
