  1. Yeah, but James can do whatever he wants, and you can't stop it. Kobe Bryant has to change it up, otherwise he'd be stopped. Bryant is not better at everything than James is. James is a good passer, as good as Kobe is, whether you want to admit it or not. Dribbling all that is really just nothing. In the end, the way you take over games and dominate is what everyone's going to judge your game by. Basketball really is a game that you can tell how good someone is by their stats. Lebron James' stats suggest that he's the best player in basketball. Either way, neither man is going to be Michael Jordan imo, but if either one were to come close in the end, it's Lebron James, not Kobe Bryant. Kobe's been on teams where he wasn't even considered the absolute best player on his team. Kobe has, apart from those few years where Shaq was gone, and the Lakers were awful, had very good supporting cast. The Lakers aren't just a better supporting cast than the Cavs, but they are STACKED. Ital can be as irrational as he wants, but he knows that this has been about even split, as to who thinks who's better. As to who has the better supporting cast, I think that an overwhelming majority would say that the Lakers team is vastly superior to the Cavs.
  2. I'm lol'ing at the fact that its now debatable whether Kobe has a better supporting cast than Lebron. Its not even close, Kobe's on a stacked team, Lebron is on a team that basically relies on him to carry the load. Lebron James is as good and imo better than Kobe Bryant was in his prime.
  3. Mmhmm. Mauer is easily the best catcher in baseball, so he's the easiest choice, and I always have a hard time choosing between Youk and Morneau, two of my favorite players in the league.
  4. Vote for Justin Morneau Joe Mauer Dustin Pedroia and then everyone else based on performance, well no I actually tend to vote Sox outside of Mauer/Morneau.
  5. Anyone else starting to think YeOldHag is just a troll? Starts fights by overreactions, baits the fight along with arrogant remarks like "apologize for being pissy", then blaming the fight on the other person and blocking them, followed with a couple cheap shots. Seems like clockwork.
  6. like interleague play. The Twins are rivals with the Brewers, and I like seeing them play.
  7. Minnesota Twins, not a difficult choice. After that the Mets. I hate the White Sox as much or more than the Yankees. Their fans come to Twins games and start s*** all the time. And AJ Pierzynski is easily the most hated man in Minnesota when he's here, he's sort of like a Johnny Damon except instead of him being a traitor by signing with our rival, he decided to act like the biggest ******* whenever he played us.
  8. This started with me telling someone how to avoid the Drew obsession, but she won't take no lip from no whippersnapper. Never seen an old hag with this kind of tude on a forum ever.
  9. 46 year old hags saying "no you are". If I ever get as bad and irrational as you when I go through menopause, then I hope my kids put my ass in a home ASAP.
  10. Didn't say you hated him, said that the Drew stuff is just old. I'm indifferent, but wish we could progress. Anyways, all that aside, just more reason to call you an immature old hypocrite. You want the other side to hush up, but you refuse to not egg them on. Act like you're 46, and not 16.
  11. God, its an endless battle that's more about who's got the bigger e-peeder than the other guy, than about JD Drew. Guy 1: JD Drew gets no ribbies and I watch moar games than you! Guy 2: JD Drew, aside from his stellar OPS, is the cure for cancer, is what Willis was talkin bout, gets paid by Apple 99 cents every time he downloads a song, died 20 years ago, but death's too afraid to tell him, and that's not all. He died on the cross for you.
  12. But that's just a lazy mistake that comes from not actually checking their statistics, most of the time people use FanGraphs value stats to prove to someone else that he's worth his contract, and that's what I'm sick of seeing. If its over a stat, then you can just show them their mistake and move on. Don't have to keep arguing over a stat they were too lazy to research. Debate something else, really. Its really repetitive and boring after seeing it pop up here every day for the past 8 months or so.
  13. Anyways my choice is option E: I don't really care, and I wish the JD Drew crap would die in a fire. It is not our duty to correct others' opinions! Not on something as opinion-based as this
  14. In all fairness, you're being just as forceful, and contesting just as intensely, your opinion, as the people that you're bashing. Its not just the supporters, its the haters, and ones who think he's overpaid, as well. Only way to end it is for both sides to stop. Its silly and old.
  15. I have no problem with debating here and there, but when it goes on for so long it just needs to stop. There's Drew fights every day bc everyone thinks its their duty to try to change each others minds. I think JD Drew is a very good ballplayer, and worth the money he makes. Some people don't think Joe Mauer deserves the money he makes either, and there's not a formula that can change their minds. I don't like opinions being enforced on me, and that goes to both the Drew supporters and haters. Both sides are guilty of it, and its pretty ridiculous that opinion arguments are being contested this intensely. People getting bent out of shape over it. Focus that energy on hating the Yankees, or laughing at the Orioles or something.
  16. Shaq was still overpowering, and extremely dominant. He was still possibly the best big man in the league.
  17. Yeah, I know.
  18. Yeah, and Peja Stojakovic would be pretty dynamic if he had athletic ability too. Try reading it again, I said that Kobe can take over games, I said that Lebron James could take over games in the same way that Kobe could in his prime. Kobe used to take over games at will, yeah, same with Jordan, and James can do the same thing. It was just a joke to counter ital's joke.
  19. But you're British, YH drinks Keystone, and RWTP is from California.
  20. Lebron has been able to take over games at will though, IMO. I think as well as Kobe did, if not better. I always say the same thing about Michael Jordan, he's alone, but Lebron is only 26 years old, and he's already putting up Jordan-esque stats, he's able to take over games when he needs to, that includes playoff games in crunch-time situations as well. Lebron James will never do it if he seeks money over winning, though. People forget, Michael Jordan struggled in a similar way to Lebron early in his career, it took some time to win that first championship. Lebron James can beat a team by himself, just like Michael Jordan could, just like Kobe Bryant could.
  21. Of course I would, so have a lot of people in this discussion, look at the first page. Team accomplishments shouldn't make Kobe Bryant a better player than Lebron James.
  22. He used to play power forward, but he's not strong enough to handle the position, he gets bullied. He's a power forward who got converted into a small forward, because he can shoot. If Peja Stojakavic or however you spell his name, gains some athleticism, and loses his shooting ability a little bit, you get Kevin Durant.
  23. I agree that the Cavs have bench depth, but their starters outside of Lebron are noticeably weaker than most of the playoff caliber teams this year. Their starters were really not very good. They had a lot of bench players who could easily have been switched to start over some of those starters though. Kobe is very good all around, he plays hard, tough defense, obviously a scoring machine, but I don't know that even in his prime, if he's as good as Lebron James is. Kobe Bryant is one of the best players in NBA history, but Lebron James has a legitimate chance to be in the same league and Michael Jordan.
