  1. If you don't want it, then don't post this stuff. Obviously its not you, but calling someone who's been generally a solid player, a piece of s***, is gonna bring out a lot of different responses. Its what forums are, they're communities. In communities not everyone will see eye-to-eye, and some people are touchy over these things. You're posting it in a community for that community to see.
  2. Agree. I think we could have got a lot more for Ramos than we did.
  3. Lol. The Twins only this year have been aggressive. During the Carl Pohlad era we got very little help from the FO. I can't remember how many times we stuck to our guns, and did nothing. Now we're making splashes in free agency, making deals during the season, etc. But even last year we really didn't do anything. This offseason we were expected to let Joe Mauer go. That's how notoriously cheap we were.
  4. I remember in around 2004 Randy Johnson had very nice stats aside from a 14-14 record or something like that. He could easily have won the award if it wasn't for his record. I think the D-Backs were awful that year too, maybe that was the year they lost 111 games. I think there was a year when Santana lost to Colon and only had 16 wins but was a vastly superior pitcher that year. They severely overrate win-loss record.
  5. Not really. They take someone with 21 wins and 2.5 ERA and 180 k over a guy with 18-3-250. They like the best record and ERA over Ks imo.
  6. Hello, and welcome back
  7. Welcome back, even though you're from way before my time.
  8. Oh God, two lawyers arguing. See, this isn't going to end.
  9. Be nice now.
  10. All of this, I remember people comparing Wily Mo Pena to Manny Ramirez, no kidding. I can see an argument for people wishing to not have ever made the trade, because I really don't think that Arroyo is garbage, but Josh Beckett is definitely a better pitcher.
  11. I really just wish we never gave up Hanley Ramirez, that's about all.
  12. No, it was kind of just tongue-in-cheek.
  13. I'd rather have Hanley Ramirez and Bronson Arroyo than Josh Beckett, Mike Lowell and Wily Mo Pena.
  14. I mean unfair as in, unstoppable. Lebron and Amare would be an awesome tandem, although Lebron and Wade would be pretty unfair as well.
  15. Glad to see we agree on something in this topic. I really do not want to see both of those guys on the Knicks. Not only would it be unfair, but, I just really don't like the Knicks. Maybe the Timberpups will make a couple deals!
  16. Agreed on that. Amare is mad explosive, Shaq once praised him as the future of the NBA. Amare would be awesome with Lebron, but I don't know if I'd ever see that happen. I'd love to though.
  17. I'm just gonna say, I've seen Lebron make some crazy ass full court shots on a commerical once. And he was like, #23, so he's obviously way better than Kobe Bryant.
  18. I don't think anyone has. I've removed myself from this argument, because no one's listening to the other side's opinion. It's getting ridiculous. One side says Kobe is OBVIOUSLY a better "dribbler, passer, blah blah blah I know what I'm talking about". The other side will counter with "Nuh uh, James is better at dribbling, his dribbles are so f%$#ing l33t dude!!". It's starting to make me lose brain cells reading most of this, and I'm guilty of being in there for most of it. I'm starting to see that this isn't about statistics, or anything like that, but all about opinion.
  19. I really hate not being able to watch or hear Red Sox games. At least I can listen to Twins games. Bleh, I'm so behind, but looks like Lester's pitchin' and Papi's hittin'.
