  1. Daisuke reportedly has a sore back. Lovely... http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/extras/extra_bases/
  2. I'm not sure you're actually who you claim to be. But if you are, did you ever say anything about Hechevarria having a better arm or being more of a complete package than Iglesias, or did Jacksonian make that up?
  3. So basically, the Yankees miraculously improve in every aspect of their game and run away with the division. Thanks for being so objective
  4. Do you think it will be a fun race or do you think the Yankees will be the far better team?
  5. So he was injured one year (2008) and you're blowing it out of proportion? I agree he's due for regression and he's not the best defensive catcher (although he's not as bad as Posada). But it's a stretch to say he has durability issues.
  6. Pretty much all big name projections have the two teams making the playoffs with nearly identical records. Should be a fun race this year.
  7. Yeah, you weren't being cocky at all. Just being an angel as usual and I'm out to get you, right?
  8. Where'd you get the scouting report about him having a better arm and being more of a complete package than Iglesias? It doesn't say that in the NYT article.
  9. If he performs anything like he did in 2008, it would be an embarassment of riches.
  10. PECOTA has the Sox winning 94 games, scoring 808 runs and winning the AL East by 2 games. http://www.baseballprospectus.com/fantasy/dc/
  11. It's gonna be fun showing my girlfriend the standings the next few weeks (she's a Canadiens fan). I jokingly told her that the Bruins would pass them in the standings before the Olympics.
  12. The Bruins win in the 8th round of the shootout! We just went from the longest losing streak of the season to the longest winning streak. What a way to go into the Olympic break!
  13. Just got home from work, went to check the score and saw the game went to a shootout. Sweet!
  14. Boras is becoming less and less useful. He really only has a one-track mind in which he exploits a ballooning MLB market by waiting teams out until they cave on ridiculous contract demands. In the modern economic market, his strategy is actually hurting his free agents. Teams are signing players to reasonable contracts, not bloated ones anymore.
  15. You Yankees fans sure do get cocky after winning one World Series this decade.
  16. 3 wins in a row! We're tied for 7th place in the conference in points and with Tampa Bay and Philadelphia playing each other the next two games, if we can take care of business we're guaranteed to surpass at least one of them in the standings.
