  1. One person agrees with you and they have "levity" everyone else disagrees with you and it's "denial". I'm still waiting for you to back up your claim. Show me a situation where the media got ahold of information they shouldn't have on a player that was leaving town. You said it happens all the time, so show me one example.
  2. Dan Haren, Ichiro, Adrian Gonzalez, Garret Anderson, Alfredo Aceves.
  3. OK, agent Mulder, show me one example of damaging information that was "leaked" by the Red Sox to the media? Surely, if the Red Sox have a history of this, you should be able to come up with one example. Unless of course, you're completely full of ********.
  4. To be clear, Jacko isn't criticizing the Boston media, he's criticizing the Red Sox front office for supposedly leaking damaging information about Red Sox players.

    Hey Jacko

Yeah, only a triceps injury, weight issues, injuries to his knees, hamstring and shoulder. But other than that, he doesn't have an extensive history.

    Hey Jacko

He does have a pretty extensive injury history, which was the reason he fell so low in the draft. And he was shelved with shoulder issues last year.
  7. If anything, it appears that Joba's velocity gets better as his games go on, so I'm not sure if I personally believe your mechanics theory. I think the issue is more that without his plus fastball, he tends to nibble a lot more and gets himself into trouble with all the baserunners he allows.
  8. I'm curious, what have the Red Sox done to "gut" players in the paper?
  9. :dunno: I don't think anyone cares. I get that you have a raging boner for the guy but we really don't need you to update his stats line every time he gets a hit. He's gonna spend the year in Double-A, so we can just wait until the end of the year to check the stats.

    Hey Jacko

  11. It's not at all a reactionary post. He's been saying it for a while and he's right. Joba walks about 4.5 batters per 9 and has a WHIP around 1.50. He goes to more 3-2 counts than any other pitcher in baseball. He does not have good control.
  12. Me neither Just said, if Youk was on the Yankees this would be a no-brainer for you. He's the only AL 1B with an OPS over 1.000.
  13. In other words, he's horrible.
  14. I realized what the discussion was about. Away from Coors Field East, he's an average hitter. This is no different than pointing out Matt Holliday or Todd Helton's home/away split differentials given what a HUGE boost his numbers get hitting at home. Besides, even with his all around numbers, Youkilis has a dramatically better AVG, OBP and OPS. If he was on the Yankees, you'd pick him in a heart beat.
  15. Alright, well I'm off to Boston early tomorrow morning to catch the Seattle series. Have a great weekend everyone, and enjoy the series! Go Sox!
