  1. Right on, Rocky. You hit the nail on the head. We should be walking all over these other teams.
  2. Screw this game. I think I'll watch the Dodgers.
  3. I remember playing with Doug from our Little League days in El Monte, CA. He was a great teammate. RIP, Doug.
  4. So far, this game stinks.
  5. Considering what a pathetic POS Lincecum has turned out to be, the BoSox should have bitch-slapped him a lot harder than they did.
  6. This reminds me of a game I saw in Anaheim on May 3, 1967. One of Lonborg's toughest losses of the season.
  7. I just hate it when they lose to the Angels.
  8. I was born and raised in Los Angeles when the Angels were a PCL club. I still regard them as a minor league team. Tonight's game was a knife to the heart. If the Red Sox get blown out of a game, why is it to the Angels?
  9. I've said it before, now I'll say it again - DFA Clay. He's an embarrassment to the Red Sox. That, and he has no right to desicrate the #11.
  10. Date: August 3, 1959 Place: Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum Game: MLB All Star Game #2 I became a Red Sox fan at an early age. Wasn't into the Dodgers or the National League. I begged and pleaded with my dad to take me to the All Star Game because I knew my hero, Frank Malzone, would be the AL starting third baseman. My dad finally relented and I wasn't disappointed. I got to see Frank smack a hanging curve ball from hometown favorite, Don Drysdale, over the left field fence as the AL struck first. The AL went on to win the game.
  11. Repeat after me - "DFA CLAY"
  12. Well, back to painting the bathroom....
  13. I miss having Koji as the closer....
  14. Varitek is HOF worthy by the mere act of shoving his mitt in A-Roid's face.
  15. My avatar shows the admiration I have for Frank. His was the first baseball card I ever got in 1959. That made me a Red Sox fan for life and Frank my #1 hero. I got to meet him at fantasy camp in 1990 and was not disappointed. He was a true gentleman and a great ball player. RIP, Malzie
  16. Are we prepared for another round of "closer by committee"?
  17. Well, at least I didn't spend any of my hard-earned money on tickets to this four game fiasco. Maybe I should have prayed harder for rain today, too.
  18. Mudslides have already started.
  19. Those throwback uniforms are better looking than the ones they wear now. The Negro Leagues knew style....
  20. Might as well bring back Bobby Valentine....
  21. No problems to report here.
  22. Isn't there an exemption for those of us living on the West Coast?
  23. At this point, I wouldn't mind seeing a trade with Miami - Mujica for Salty.
  24. The more I see him, the more I like him.
