  1. The emphasis should be on having a BP populated with quality arms. More than one guy who can be relied upon to close the door.
  2. I don't really care for Harper. Yeah, he is very talented. But I see him as a puke and a punk spoiled brat. "That said", If the Yankees are willing to break the bank for him, would the Sox be in on him?
  3. You are not alone in your beliefs.
  4. And that is what Username said by suggesting there is more than one way to skin a cat. It is interesting what Kimmi has said. Certainly there is much data to support what she said. It seems that gaining 15 runs and 2 win is not enough to sway managers from their traditional decision making methods.
  5. I'm sort of with Dojji on this. Young is a platoon hitter. I think an OF er that could hit from both sides would of been nice. But whatever!
  6. I'm certainly with you on this. I always liked the way he competed.
  7. This is a possibility. He needs to get a fair shake before we conclude that he is a bust.
  8. I have expressed concern about the OF several times. I'm confident that Betts will continue to produce and improve. As much as I love JBJ he still has not been able to hit consistently at the MLB level. I believe ( maybe just hope ) that he does hit consistently but until he does he will remain a question mark. Castillo has been a punching bag for me. He is athletic and from what I have read and heard he works hard at improving. Never the less, he does make bonehead plays and lacks refinement at the plate. I've said these things in some form or another several times. The Sox OF is a question mark and along with a weak to mediocre rotation, and questions about 3rd and 1st, cause for me to be suspect of the Sox chances to be a playoff team this year.
  9. Where did Poulhous (SP ) hit when he was at his best? He was a great hitter with power. Just curious.
  10. I guess your penis is larger than mine. I'll pass this info onto the Doctors in my family.
  11. It even makes sense without looking at stats!
  12. lulz. I get a kick out of most people accepting Panda's published weight as 245 early last season. Jung suggested that Pablow was at 290 or so by season's end. I would stake my considerable reputation on the following assertion. He was over 300 most of the season. I've been 300 and I am 4-6 inches shorter than that blimp. The men on this board who have carried big pounds know what I am talking about. Jung's idea that each time your weight cycles down then up it become harder to keep the pounds off is not known physiological fact as far as Dr. Spudboy is aware. He is a lazy fat f***. If he had a true ailment or impairment I would never criticize the lump. I criticized JD Drew for being soft when in fact his Son was very ill. Turd baseman should have more pride than to allow himself to be seen as a lazy, under performing, overpaid blob. He is an athlete. He gets paid to be in shape and to be productive. He consciously decides to stay fat. I know it, and every fat man on this site knows it. He will never get any slack from me in that regard.
  13. It's interesting that at one point the Bailey deal was used ( somewhat ) as a baseline or guide to what Lester would be worth and now we use his contract to justify the Porcello deal. Just a casual observation, not a dig at you.
  14. Lol. Yeah brilliance is a rare commodity here. Although you can hear some new and good ideas. I don't think that you should be baffled by the ********. The important thing is that you realize it is ********.
  15. Now that is an apt description. I may drop Fatboy.
  16. Now this is more like it. I'm assuming that what Kimmi says is backed by years of data otherwise she would not offer it. I have always assumed that the top of the order would be populated by the higher OBP guys on the team that may offer more speed. The middle of the order would be the power guys, and the the bottom of the order filled by lesser hitters. This is because I have been trained to think these things. It's interesting to see ideas that conflict with my accepted understanding of the norm.
  17. That hat is so gay.
  18. I was not directing my comment at you!!!! It was directed at those who incessantly reiterate their speculation of how things have been run by the Sox FO. The same old things keep being said month after month. But I suppose I have learned that a couple of guys here have penises. Even if they are dicks.
  19. As a Drew basher of old I acknowledge that I became a fan of both. Even old-timey guys can learn.
  20. Welcome to The Rogue State.
  21. I read that Moncada is now looking much more like a NFL linebacker than a second baseman.
  22. Unfortunately MLB has gotten into bed with Draft Kings and the like. This makes them giant hypocrites in the eyes of those who view the subject objectively. Ban participation in gambling with one rule, then invite gambling into the game with Fantasy betting. I make no distinction when defining what constitutes gambling. The entire subject is nauseating.
  23. I'm not so sure about what you suggest. There seems to be an endless stream of at least casual fans who just "must go to Fenway to see the Sox". I don't know the attendance figures. That park is always close to being full and I never bought into that fake sell-out streak anyway.
