    I'm just pissed that we don't save any money on his salary. If he was asking for his release then he should cough up some of the salary and go somewhere else. Penny deserves a kick in the nuts.

    That's so awesome. With the Sox winning and Rangers and Rays losing, that's definitely worth having the Yankees win as well.

    I'm glad we gained a game in the Wild Card. I believe that's more important than a long shot at the division. As long as we win we'll gain on someone.

    I heard we are paying his $2 million remaining, so hopefully that means we gave up virtually nothing in prospects.

    I'm crossing my fingers until I see what we gave up.

    I don't blame the Red Sox, I think every GM was going to decline his option, offer him arbitration and kick him in the rear end on his way out while taking the draft picks. I'd have done the same.

    I just heard that Wagner used his no-trade clause to veto the possible deal to Boston.

    No, that's the Tony Pena Jr. from the Royals. Ironically enough he was used as a pitcher a few years ago during a blowout.
