Never heard about an ERod/Cora split. I don't see them signing Snell or Monty at all. That's what we've been hearing for a while now. Miserly attitudes in ownership.

For who? Soler? I'd rather keep Masa. The leftover FA's leave a lot to be desired. Even Bellinger has his share of warts. IDK. If they were dumping Masa so that they could trade for a young ace and extend then ok.

He was a top 10 MiLB prospect that got injured. Unfortunately, the error bar with pitchers is very large.

He traded a lot of prospects, but didn't do a great job of drafting and neither did Ben. The farm just slowly fell off from the Theo days. Even if Ben was here, it would have slowly taken a turn for the worse IMO.

Starting building this year for more spending next year? Will Henry go over the CBT again or will he stay under going forward? If he's willing to go over like other owners, no harm in getting the right guy on your pitching staff a year early.

We were hopeful they had a chance. Sox have the room under the 2nd CBT line. Ownership is just being spendthrifty.

For even higher AAV? No. They aren't going to compete this season so it seems like a little waste. If Henry is ok with going over the CBT in the next few years, then maybe.

People were saying prior to the offseason that it was a great FA class for the Sox to need pitching. Is that not the case?

At the very least, Asencio is noted as "one of the most difficult hitters to strike out." Rosier is definitely not that. To me, it's just not a good comp.
