Doesn't matter if he Verdugo has a big year. His stats in Yankee Stadium 3 have nothing to do with what he'd do here. It means nothing. I'm sure some people will try to make it into something, but it's meaningless. He's a guy who was content to play for 3 last place Sox teams and show up late. He's a loser.
We don't know how well Giolito will pitch, but there's near certainty that he can take the ball every 5th day. Bailey did a great job in SF, so we need to have a little faith that Giolito can improve on his '23 stats or at least replicate his first half stats.
