  1. Abreu is a 131 wRC+ hitter with 2.7 bWAR in 81 games. Jays would control him through 2029. You are really understating his value.
  2. Hamilton is a bench guy.
  3. Grissom is expendable. He needs to produce before he's really earned a spot.
  4. Move to LF and you have Duran, Rafaela, Abreu and Anthony with two of them on the bench.
  5. This just means this division is worse, not that all of baseball is worse.
  6. Drohan cleared waivers and is back with Red Sox.
  7. That’s Salem.
  8. Assuming Story is healthy, you'd have Story, Mayer, Bichette, Casas and Devers for 4 IF spots. That's probably the bigger issue at play.
  9. Jhostynxon has 5 HR's in 11 G's since being called up to GRE. He's been tearing the cover off the ball all season long.
  10. Yes. Sox would trade Hamilton for Bichette. Jays would say no almost 100% of the time unless they know something we don't. Abreu and Bichette are closer to a fair swap, but what each player brings to the respective teams may not work for the trade itself.
  11. Fan voting has not been around every season. All-Star teams were originally selected by the managers and the fans for the 1933 and 1934 games. From 1935 through 1946, managers selected the entire team for each league. From 1947 to 1957, fans chose the team's starters and the manager chose the pitchers and the remaining players. From 1958 through 1969, managers, players, and coaches made the All-Star Team selections. In 1970, the vote again returned to the fans for the selection of the starters for each team and remains there today.
  12. Not sure I would do the deal, but would consider it. The Jays would consider it too.
  13. Bogey was an overpay. Schwarber was an overpay (minor).
  14. Throw in Wikleman and a bunch of other prospects I don't believe in.
  15. It's not the first time Bichette has had an extended slump. For 1.5 years, I'd take the risk.
  16. moon wouldn't do the trade. I think it would be an easy yes for the Sox. Jays wouldn't do that deal. For Abreu? Maybe.
  17. 21 5.8 bWAR 22 3.7 bWAR 23 4.9 bWAR He has a 276 BABIP this season which is much lower than his career 341 mark.
  18. Crawford has a lot of CONTROL and is cheap. I don't see them moving him with how little Henry wants to spend. It's not like they are loaded with pitching prospects breaking the door down.
  19. Hamilton for Bichette is an easy yes.
  20. That rule goes back to pre-expansion days I believe.
  21. Abreu is a much better hitter than Bichette this season too.
  22. Worcester
  23. Anyway, Masa is back... Cooper DFA'd. Romy is in the clubhouse.
  24. Why do the records matter if they happened before you were born? I DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE IMPOSSBLE DREAM SEASON!
