  1. Will this be the first bullpen game to close out a World Series if the Dodgers win Game 4?
  2. Somehow? Freeman, Teoscar, Mookie, Ohtani, Edman, Will Smith, Muncy Flaherty, Buehler, Yamamoto
  3. Henry wants fans to get back some of that "wait til next year" nostalgia.
  4. If you're signing half measures, expect half successes.
  5. Not being able to re-sign Mookie was a big turning point to me and my Red Sox fandom. They definitely lowballed Lester, but I felt like they should have signed Max they offseason Lester was a FA anyway. Instead, they waited a year and signed Price. I agree that Sale needed a new place. There's no guarantee that Sale would have been as effective in BOS and they wouldn't have given him an extra day of rest in 2024 the way ATL did.
  6. It hasn't been the same ever since they took it out of my ramen.
  7. Garcia may be my favorite prospect right now, but I'm also more aware of some of his flaws than some other posters. I think he could be similar to Abreu (overall production/ceiling wise, not approach wise). I don't see him becoming a "big 3" type prospect, but a guy that could be very useful in MLB at some point. Him and his brother were a big reason I watched a lot of Salem games early on this spring.
  8. I'll allow them to sign Clevinger if they also sign Flaherty and Fried.
  9. They must have seen him as a 6th starter/bullpen guy with that contract.
  10. Gio also wanted them to sign Clevinger last offseason.
  11. Did the Sox make him an offer and Imanaga chose the Cubs instead or am I misremembering?
  12. If they didn't trade Ojeda, we wouldn't have had that Schiraldi bum.
  13. And then we're left to question is it an evaluation issue or a $$$ issue?
  14. Schiraldi and Stanley can never be forgiven.
  15. If it doesn't get better, don't blame the assistant coaches IMO.
  16. He's also just one of two assistant hitting coaches. Maybe he shouldn't be the main guy, but can be a successful assistant?
  17. If they traded Whitlock, he would have been All Star somewhere else. 😖
  18. My ouija board told me.
  19. And if they kept Sale on and he got injured here, we could have said "what was the plan there?!?!?"
  20. The notoriously fragile Whitlock who pitched really great while he was healthy. It was fun while it lasted.
  21. I believe they are high on driveline driven stats like exit velo, but it depends on the player. The one thing I heard is that they give each player specific goals. For example, Kristian Campbell hadn't tapped into power but was already a decent contact hitter who made good swing decisions. They wanted him to unleash some of that power potential. It worked out. For other guys, it may be working on those swing decisions because swinging at the wrong pitches is causing them to make weak contact or no contact at all.
  22. What did Lawson have to do with any of those k's??? He was in POR and WOO.
  23. The wild pitch/passed ball from the Steamer is the problem IMO.
  24. McNamara leaving Buckner in... Even if McNamara put Stapleton in, they still lose.
  25. I believe the AFL tends to be very hitter friendly being held down in AZ. Brannon has always had a lot of power, but didn't really show it this year. His catching is still a big time work in progress and injuries have held him back the past two seasons. He's still young though.
