  1. Giolito, Hendriks and Murphy? Not sure how you include Murphy with the other two.
  2. That's what happens with pitching prospects these days.
  3. They are players that aren't performing NOW and are overpaid NOW which will limit the amount of spending this team can do NOW. It's one thing to give a player a raise if they are actually productive on the field. They are not being paid what they would earn on the open market. Bello blows up once a game and acts like a brat.
  4. They shouldn't have given him this much money as it's clearly an overpayment if he has to earn it with production that we are projecting on him years from now. Why give a player an extension if it's not a deal for the team? They gave him #2 extension money. He's not that right now.
  5. I reach out to the Jays and see what they would want for Bassitt. He's only under control through next season unlike Gausman, so a short term guy that's not going to help a rebuilding squad. Kick the tires on a Luis Robert deal. See if LAA will sell low on Drury for the year.
  6. None of the above.
  7. Hamilton is well below average on every Statcast metric except chase rate. Since 4/25: 862 OPS 397 BABIP (career 306 MiLB BABIP)
  8. His defense is real s*** that's for sure.
  9. They will try to sell us on: Tanner Gio Kutter Bello Fitts
  10. 12.43 ERA the past 3 starts for Wikelman. Injury?
  11. Interesting to see Yorke hit so well in AAA. SoxProspects stated that his underlying metrics in AA weren't very good so he was really in a rough stretch before getting the call up.
  12. Campbell, a college grad, is almost a full 2 years older than Roman. I'm not sure of any swing adjustments that he made this season. Something about his swing reminds me of Hunter Pence.
  13. LOL 1. Jarren Duran LF 2. Enmanuel Valdez 2B 3. Rob Refsnyder RF 4. Dominic Smith 1B 5. Connor Wong DH 6. David Hamilton SS 7. Bobby Dalbec 3B 8. Reese McGuire C 9. Ceddanne Rafaela CF ChiSox are streaking
  14. Anthony is further away than Mayer and Teel. Maybe 2nd half of 2025? Maybe?
  15. Mayer is not ready. He’d get wrecked by MLB pitching. Yorke stinks.
  16. Bello a 5th starter?
  17. I figured he was throwing out the bottom third of teams that realistically have no chance (Rockies, White Sox, A’s, etc).
  18. @MLBPipeline The @WhiteSox have recalled their No. 11 prospect, Jonathan Cannon. ChiSox are looking to win this series.
  19. Yeah, the 3 guys fighting for the last spot had the best spring (Kutter, Houck, Whitlock). I know there was talk of a potential 6 man rotation or piggyback. Maybe they would have tried that route until the figured out the best five. Bello to the bullpen probably.
  20. His 1 in 30 metric comes from 1 out of 30 MLB teams I think! That's why there's a 1 in 30 chance.
  21. With how Perales is throwing, did you consider making him red?
  22. I know they get more behind the scenes information, so I wonder what is different from '22 to '23 to '24? I've asked specific questions about players to them in the past and they haven't really addressed it.
  23. https://www.nbcsportsboston.com/mlb/boston-red-sox/john-henry-red-sox-ownership-sell-team/619510/ Here's news many Red Sox fans won't want to hear: John Henry has no plans to sell the team. Some other highlights: Henry held firm on the club's decision to avoid spending heavily in free agency and suggested the fans hold unrealistic expectations. "Because fans expect championships almost annually," he said, "they easily become frustrated and are not going to buy into what the odds actually are: one in 20 or one in 30." He thought the reaction to chairman Tom Werner's comments about going "full throttle" this winter were overblown, but he also seemed to misunderstand fan anger over the state of the big league club. "(Werner's comments) overshadowed every other word, paragraph and interview of the winter because it reaches so deeply into the false belief that many fans and media have that you should mortgage the future each year for the present," he said. "You have to base acquisitions and dispositions on the future, not the past. That is unpopular generally." Henry reiterated a point he has made in the past about his reticence to address fan and media concerns directly. "I don't think people in my position can win publicly -- your words are often used against you -- so the less I say I generally think the better," he said. World Series odds are NOT 1 in 20 let alone 1 in 30. C'mon man!
  24. He had a 0.87 WHIP this Spring Training and hasn't slowed since then. Whitlock pitched well too. Hard to say who they stick with.
  25. I just think they should go a bit slower with some of their jumps and that maybe it didn't make sense to have him unranked at the end of last season.
