    How many people had Hamilton as a potential positive going into this season? I think most of the talk was wondering why he was on the 40 man. Dude figured it out and now seems to be an MLBer going forward at least as a bench guy somewhere. That’s pretty amazing for what he was projected to be not long ago.

    Per bref he has 0.8 for the whole year. Where do you see the split between CF and SS?

    My three game stretch of Game Threads were rough. I was copying the guy before me and that error had carried from the poster before him. What a mess. I'll own it. But they won two games! I think we had just become feral at some point.

    Since everyone is working on their initial roster for 2025 and penciling in Rob Refsnyder's 2M, go read Pete Abe's article. Ref is considering retiring to move into a front office position so that he wouldn't have to travel. He has young kids and he wants to be around them more. Plus, he's been dealing with a heel issue all year that may not get better.

    It'll be interesting to see where they push Campbell to. His RHB would be good to rotate in the OF and 2B. His defense is pretty rough for SS at the MLB level.

    If I'm on the winning streak, I usually try to do it right after the win or the following morning. It was definitely annoying when you'd get an hour out and there'd still be no Game Thread. I'm good with the new rules.

    When Pedroia first came up, he struggled for a bit before the laser show finally came on. Teel is just going to be a league average catcher at best. I think people are expecting too much out of him. He's not Adley. Out of the 3, Anthony is the guy with the MVP upside.

    They have JP Crawford and Jorge Polanco signed for a few more years. Maybe they'd put Mayer at 3B?

    They probably won't get it done this year, but I've been happy enough with the season in comparison to the nonsense we've seen in recent years. Having a strong farm and signs of life from young guys on the MLB squad makes me feel much more positive about where the org is at.

    The Sox were 64-58 and 2.5 games back from 3 WC TOR on 8/19/23. They then went 14-26 the rest of the way (9-23 from 8/27 on). They are currently 65-58 and hoping they don't go 13-26. We've seen this dance before!

    To be out of the WC with 9 to go, they'd have to really fall apart. I think this team is a little different than what we saw out of the previous two versions. I could be wrong though...

    If it's starts off bad, it'll end bad. He won't have much time to turn it around because it's already 8/19 and there's no sign of him rehabbing at WOO yet.

    He was only 3.5M this year. That's not a big enough chunk of change to worry about moving midseason.

    Anyway, moon, I will continue to browse your well thought out thread, but it's way too early for me to think about the offseason. Would trading Campbell this offseason be selling high? He's a player without a fulltime position. Scouts are finally starting to come around on him though. He's a RHB in a system of LHB. Trading Sale was a pretty bold move that didn't work out. Aside from that, Breslow didn't really make any waves last offseason. Dealing malcontent Verdugo made too much sense. With this FO and the financial constraints since letting Mookie go, it's hard to really forecast what the Sox will do.

    Where has harmony been? And does he still believe that Kelenic is as good as Duran?

    I'll go out on a limb and say he returns on 9/20 for the Twins series and gets in 8 of the final 9 games. Starts the season with 8 games and finishes the season with 8 more. Is that kismet? Sox should still be in it at that point, so it'll probably be all hands on deck. His k% will go back above 35% and he sneaks in one HR.

    For me, it's just more ways I can mess something up in the title of a post! I needed to put MLB.com on a second screen to make sure I got it right.
