  1. He is still sore and really feels in during an at bat whenever he fouls off a pitch.
  2. Didn't feel like posting this on the main site: @mlbtraderumors Angels To Select Niko Kavadas, Designate Luis Guillorme
  3. @brock_beauchamp there are three teams i will absolutely not run sites for: the white sox, yankees, and cardinals then a handful of others i don't have interest in but those three are show-stoppers for me Brock, thank you for the Yankees bit. Are you a Cubs fan and that's why you don't like the Cardinals and ChiSox? I didn't think the Twins had a huge White Sox rivalry.
  4. Yeah, the issue was that it would be the same one or two users spamming the board with useless threads when there were already enough threads complaining about the same topic. It'd be great if there was a thread and it actually stayed on topic because it wasn't 50 pages long. As I said before, I'm fine with whatever changes come. I'll just be happy if everyone can stick around.
  5. @ChrisCotillo Sources: Barring something unforeseen before first pitch, Triston Casas is expected to be activated for the Red Sox in Baltimore tonight. The wait is over. I don't remember if I posted this news earlier.
  6. Part of the reason we don't have any guys there is that Bloom didn't focus on pitching guys with high ceilings. Breslow has changed tack, but it's going to take a bit to get his guys into the top 100.
  7. I think there was a time when there were too many new topics. Now, we have too few topics. We definitely veered too far in the other direction and it made the site unreadable.
  8. 2019 was the highpoint for MLB strikeouts: 42,822. Hitters couldn't hit for s*** that year! That's a 27% increase over what it was 10 years before. It was an 81% increase from the baseball I grew up with 30 years before that! Harumph!
  9. I believe that's most in MLB over that time period.
  10. The last time Criswell faced the O's: 4IP, 7 ER. This is his first start in almost a month. Burnes vs the Sox this year: 14 IP, 1 ER, 11 K, 5 BB, 5 H, 0.714 WHIP. Sox on Friday Nights in 2024: 6-14.
  11. That is some fuzzy math my dude. Can you have the other Hugh login and check your work?
  12. 2026 if everything breaks right.
  13. Brock, we do need a new Game Thread today and they lost last night. If you'd like to make one today it's all yours! If they win, you'd just have to keep making them until the lose.
  14. The MOJO system seems to have worked well.
  15. That sounds great. I know there's been TalkSox meetups in ST in the past. Maybe we'll be able to get a group down there again this year. Looking forward to all the changes.
  16. The best way to add them is to develop them and that's what they are trying to do. Juan Valera is pitching his ass off in Salem right now. Monegro hasn't given up a run in 29 innings.
  17. Does this mean we really have to care about the Mayor's Cup now?
  18. The popular podcasts are: Section 10 (not analytical, but most popular and are having their own Fenway Night coming up) The Pesky Report (some prospect, some MLB) Pod by the River (mostly MLB, good if you want Sox version of Frank the Tank) Play Tessie (Red Sox jouralist nepobaby podcast) Not Another Sox Podcast Pod on Landsdowne Beyond the Monster Even if you don't listen to them all (I don't), the hosts are good follows on Twitter.
  19. A lot of inexperienced guys that have been asked to pitch differently than they have ever had to before. If the emphasis is "throw strikes," there is more of a tendency to leave a pitch over the middle than if a guy is nibbling and is tired IMO.
  20. Thank you for not letting the site die.
  21. @ChrisCotillo Sources: Barring something unforeseen before first pitch, Triston Casas is expected to be activated for the Red Sox in Baltimore tonight. The wait is over.
