This guy's pitch mix is interesting enough that I think he could rise pretty fast in the org the way Early did. He's being developed as a starter, but may end up moving to closer at some point.
Of the 10, the only one I can take much out of right now is Richard Fitts. Him blowing gas seems really great. I just hope that the velo stays and that there are no adverse affects like we've seen with other pitchers who have started to max out and then miss 18 months.
His HR numbers won't improve at Fenway in comparison to Minute Maid. His hits and doubles may though if you go by Statcast park factors and what Statcast says about his career HR projections at Fenway.
Small sample size. I need to see him lay off pitches OOZ for a few months in the season before I'm a believer. Two weeks of Spring Training is meaningless to me.
Cora shuts down 6 man rotation BECAUSE OF injury issues.
If Bello isn't ready. If Crawford is injured. There's no reason to force a 6 man rotation on an MLB team. You're only adding AAA guys to reduce the amount of starts that Houck and Crochet get.
The problem with Romero is that he's no longer a contact guy. He's now a power guy who has eschewed a contact heavy approach. He also doesn't walk very much and seems to be destined for 2B.
I was just talking about your point where you said it's hard to ruin a season in April. It's easy to ruin a season in April IMO. You can really dig yourself in a hole.
Bregman is a very poor starter historically. He may have a bad April again. Not sure if it will contribute to a bad W/L this year.
