  1. Toro isn't making the team IMO. He doesn't play SS. He's not on the 40 man. No reason to add him.
  2. With Romy, the bigger upside play is that he can adequately field more than one position, but Hamilton seems limited to just 2B.
  3. Is this a crossover post?
  4. "Yeah, it's honestly for the best if we make Kristian Campbell start in AAA, because he doesn't have enough AB's there. I know he was the MiLB player of the year last year and that there isn't a good solution at 2B, but let's go with Grissom and Hamilton. Hamilton is fast. Grissom was part of the Sale trade and we need to show that we got something out of that trade. I know Grissom played like dog doo last season and Grissom only had a 725 OPS vs RHP last year which we vastly overstate, but we gotta go with those two for some infernal reason."
  5. Hamilton isn't really all that much to write home about against RHP if he's a strict platoon bat either.
  6. Really cool that a lineup going Anthony/Campbell/Mayer to lead off isn't on tv... Really cool...
  7. I meant Cespedes in the second sentence. Romero is a 2b/3b through and through. He could be good? Hard to say.
  8. I'm out on Grissom because of how he wears his hat. DFA all day.
  9. Don't make me keep tapping this sign...
  10. Yup, we're really getting somewhere with this conversation! 😔
  11. Because it's not a big deal in house and the team moved on by the end of the day while they were hanging out at Cora's house.
  12. Posting just for us sickos in here:
  13. On Soto: Field: Solid actions and soft hands. Unclear if he will be able to stick at shortstop long-term given his current size and that he is already growing, but will start off his career there.
  14. Just because they were "signed as" something doesn't mean they still are. His bat is far more advanced than they initially thought it would be. They signed Yoiber Ruiz to be a SS the same year as Arias for a similar amount of $$$ and he's been transitioned to C/2B/3B and hasn't yet to appear stateside.
  15. The full tweet was interesting to read last week. Devers relies on a translator in formal interview settings to help him, but I think it just made it more confusing this time. His English is supposed to be pretty good and I think that if he was going one on one with someone, they would have figured out the conversation a little better. However, I don't think baseball writers have any other agenda but find something exciting to write about and there isn't much to write about right now. It was an easy story for them to glom onto and then some of them pooh pooh the next day.
  16. Casas says SHOCKING things in this revealing interview. He was doing no more interview I was told so this is completely uncalled for!!! Shocking Casas Exposé Laurila: What about the current changes? Were they driven by conversations with people in the organization? Casas: "I mean, they obviously want me to cut back... They haven’t ever suggested anything crazy or wanted me to ever make a drastic change... These are just changes that… I mean... It’s just one that I’m going through at the moment. The last time we talked, I was... on something else. This is just where I’m at right now... I don’t know how long I’m going ride this out. If I see that something isn’t working... I’ll scratch it. I’ll go back to the drawing board and do it all over again.”
  17. Is he doing any OF work this Spring? I've only heard about IF so far. He has a much longer history in the IF, so it may be a better fit as he's adjusting to MLB.
  18. Whatever it is, Tomase will be on it like Superbowl XXXVI.
