    If he has no options, there is no way for him to get to AAA without being put through waivers or being on an IL assignment.

    Just a reminder that not all prospect work out. Granted Mr Money here was drafted after the 20th round and never did much of anything. If SoxProspects were around back then, he would have been a guy that only got mentioned offhandedly and never with any serious intent.

    Abreu's OPS was about 120 points higher than Rafaela's. For me to consider Rafaela to be a better OFer than Abreu, he needs to get his OPS closer to 750 than 650. If his hitting 725 with GG defense and Abreu is playing like '24, it's a better conversation.

    He's worth it to stash in AAA. If he continues to mash in April, then maybe he has changed something and decide if you want to call him up then.

    Trayce Thompson has no options. He can't be sent to AAA while on the 40 man roster. They would need to DFA him.

    He can choose to stay with the AAA team if he wants. It's up to him to opt out or stick around.

    The depth is thin, but when your backup is Duran and you have Anthony behind him, it's better than 90%^ of other MLB teams IMO.

    Wong playing anywhere but C is a bad idea. It's not worth the risk due to the lack of C options this org has.

    I think he would have to be on the 26 man squad or choose to leave. If he's already down in MiLB camp, it shows to me that he's not even competing for a 40 man spot at the moment regardless of opt outs IMO.

    Not if he opts out. I don't think they'd send him to MiLB camp if they wanted him on the 40 man roster.

    It'd be a shame if they lost Zavala. It's a bonus if any of the others stick. I know Adams has been relatively successful out west, but under the radar. Maybe he's the last guy in the pen?

    I'm willing to live with it, but I think we're going to hear a lot of complaining when Fitts and Priester have inflated ERA's due to a few blow ups even though they could show more than we've ever seen from Bello or Crawford.

    Since de Grom is probably TEX Opening Day starter, I think the 2b will be Hamilton. I don't think he'll be the permanent 2b for '25, but he'll get most of the reps early on and that's fine.

    The big problem the Sox will run into if they have Fitts and Priester in the rotation together is inconsistency. They are young and may have decent ceilings, but it may be a rollercoaster in the short term until they are solid contributors.

    If we're not seeing Devers get ready to field, it's because it's not going to happen anytime soon. Devers is the DH for the foreseeable future IMO.
