  1. He's a guy who lets innings get away from him due to his emotions. He's very friendly with Raffy so it may be emotional for him. I think he makes a mistake pitch or two. I'd rather they treat him like Barry Bonds and just intentionally walk him.
  2. If they move quick enough, they can add Zach Penrod to the deal too!
  3. How does Vlad have surplus trade value with a 500M contract? I can't buy into their model.
  4. Breggie 3b Mayer SS Story 2b It's the only way to fix this.
  5. Since 6/9 when Roman first played: Roman 074 Campbell 130 Mayer 217 Campbell hasn't been good since April. That's why he was sent down. Roman may get sent down eventually. Who knows?
  6. Will? No. Could? Yes. Likelihood? Low.
  7. I think the 30% estimation is low. From 10 years ago, 15 of the top 20 guys made the majors (75%). From 2020, 14 made the majors and that doesn't include Mata and Song who were on 40 man rosters (70%). If we go by SoxProspects rankings (Fitts granduated) the are already at 15%: Anthony MLB Mayer MLB Arias will be MLB (almost every top 5 prospect has made MLB) Perales - on 40 man, will be MLB Tolle - will be MLB Valera - maybe? Garcia - on 40 man, will be MLB Dobbins MLB Romero - will be MLB Clarke - will be MLB Early - will be MLB Sandlin - will be MLB Bleis - maybe? Cespedes - maybe? Gonzales - maybe? Paez - maybe? Soto - maybe? Monegro - maybe? Taylor - maybe? Azocar - maybe? I'm already at 55% with enough maybes and about half of them will make it and half will fizzle out, which brings us to about 75%.
  8. I don't know. It depends on how he's playing down the stretch. If he's OPSing under 800, probably not.
  9. Mayer was getting a lot of time at 2b prior to Breggie's injury.
  10. 1. Baseball needs good guys and bad guys. People are loving the SDP/LAD stuff right now. We need Beltran here. 2. Fair on Blackmon, but he is very hairy. 3. Make Chris Bassitt the first player/CBO.
  11. But why didn't Devers pitch better in '22 and '23 to help the run differential?!?!?!?
  12. Martinez specifically said that Ortiz shouldn't have tried to communicate to Raffy on the field like that. That he should have tried to communicate off the field, not in front of the cameras. Maybe Raffy also didn't trust Ortiz to run straight back to management? Raffy isn't under an obligation to talk to Papi.
  13. A lot of people do NOT like the smell of popcorn butter because of what it smells like.
  14. I know!!! 👀 Hard partying guy learning the ways from an ivy leaguer?!?!?! I think Skip Schumaker is the guy!
  15. My top 5 candidates: 1. Carlos Beltran (should be HOFer, knows Cora!) 2. Charlie Blackmon (very hairy!) 3. Chad Bradford (former Sox, weird throwing angle) 4. Colten Brewer (former Sox, helped us through COVID) 5. Co-CBO's: Clint Barnes and Clint Barmes
  16. Ortiz - part owner of the Red Sox Pedro - not affiliated with the Red Sox Take that for what you will.
  17. Wally, we've renovated your home behind the LF wall into a vintage stadium seating movie theatre from 1998, but with a jacuzzi of popcorn butter!
  18. That's why I don't know if there's a point in saying "look at what the schedule looks like up ahead." Forecasting it that way generally doesn't work out. Saying "they have to make their move now" because of the schedule later on is meaningless to me.
  19. It was because he probably had already agreed to terms on that extension...
  20. There's enough people that have flipped to being anti-Devers that I have to hold down the fort for a little while anyway. I was supportive of him getting a shot in BOS in 2017 even though a lot of people on here thought it was silly (moon in particular). He ended up rocketing up that year and then the bandwagon got a little big. The second his back turned, a lot of people were ready with their ice picks. Sad that it had to end that way. I understand that people grieve differently. Their anger went towards Devers. My anger went towards Breslow, Sam and JH. I'm ok with where things ended up. Just wish that all involved had acted like adults (Breslow, Raffy, Media, Sam, Cora) instead of what we witnessed. It's also tiring seeing the postmortem attacks that we witness every time someone leaves town. The last 15 years have been kinda gross.
  21. It may have been inevitable. However, they should have tried to massage the relationship in case they were unable to trade Devers this season and didn't make the problem even worse. If it's as bad as the Sox are now portraying it to the media (eye roll), they are lucky all this didn't get out while he was still on the team TBH.
  22. What if they went in a completely different direction and hired Skip Schumaker of UCSB, the biggest party school? He's currently an advisor to Chris Young in TEX... 👀
  23. 28th is KC. 29th and 30th aren't listed because LOL A's and LOL Rays screw it up by moving to AAA stadiums. Play around with the table HERE
