    I think he should have moved on from Ryan and found something else. Maybe he tried and was unable to secure another arm? That's not what I've heard, but that doesn't mean it's not the case.

    They didn't want Alonso last year, so it's not happening this year. Schwarber isn't leaving Philly. Suarez is a good bat, but is starting to play Devers level defense at 3b.

    Campbell has played every position except for C. He must look really rough at 3b as he only has 5 appearances there. I'd rather Mayer up the middle, but Bregman built a career being a MIF playing and above average 3b. Is there less wear and tear over there? I don't think that much. I guess it's just the option they are stuck with at the moment. I wouldn't sign Breggie for 5 years. We already saw what his body looked like in year one.

    Playoff odds: TEX 18% CLE 8% They haven't been making up any ground. As the days roll on by, it gets less and less likely the Sox miss out on the playoffs this year unless they really take a swoon. Sox were 6.5 up on TBR in 2011 today. It would take that kind of collapse at this point.

    Needs to be able to work well with the manager and anyone other front office people both inside the org and outside the org. If you can't do those things at the very least, you need to build a support system around yourself that can do that for you IMO.

    Of the three, the hopes are highest for Phillips. I'd rank it Phillips > Holobetz > Yophery. I just don't believe in Yophery.

    Mayer is a better defender than Arias. Not sure why you'd plop Mayer at 3b. If anything they need a future 3b. Arias 2b Mayer SS (if he can stay healthy) Romero/Godbout 3b? Probably need one of those spots to be a FA.

    Most obvious outcome for this scenario. Story opting out would be a surprise.

    I wouldn't let Passan make a prospects list either. I'd trust him for news and rumors though.

    He'd be taking Hicks' spot. An opener only goes a few innings once per turn. He'd have to do something else midweek.
