  1. Seems like it's going to be Tolle tonight instead per Cora?
  2. Elbow inflamation. Did NOT have surgery. He's in throwing progression. He'll get TJS in the offseason or early next year for sure.
  3. YOU mentioned the 60 day IL! I hadn't thought about him in a long time. Didn't even know he had missed games.
  4. It happens all the time and is nothing to worry about. If May/Hicks/Fitts are out the rest of the year, Early could be on the roster if they wanted him to be. It just depends on if they think he'll be a valuable starter or if he could fit in a relief role (questionable).
  5. Sox will have more than enough injured pitchers that can be "replaced" by Early or any other AAA guy they want. The 40 man roster designation is a formality.
  6. No, just in the org. Postseason Roster Rules & Eligibility Definition For the 2025 season, any player who was on the 40-man roster or 60-day injured list as of noon ET on Sept. 1 is eligible for the postseason. Those on the restricted list at that point are also eligible if they haven't been suspended for performance-enhancing drugs during that season. (All players who have served a suspension for PEDs in a given season are ineligible for postseason play that year.) A player who doesn't meet said criteria for postseason eligibility can still be added to a team's roster in the postseason via petition to the Commissioner's Office if the player was in the organization on Aug. 31 and is replacing someone who is on the injured list and has served the minimum amount of time required for activation. (For example, a player on the 10-day injured list who has been on it for at least 10 days, or a player who has been on the 60-day injured list for at least 60 days.) Players who are acquired in September or after are ineligible.
  7. No. That was done way earlier. It may not have been announced until the deadline.
  8. No, he landed May and kept asking for Ryan. He even included TOLLE in a package for Ryan at the last minute that the Twins turned down.
  9. Obviously throwing in the towel by using all these AAA guys. 😭
  10. Grissom hasn't played since Aug 9th? Is there a service time issue with putting him on the 60 day IL?
  11. Six man rotation down the stretch helps to not overload Crochet or the young arms like Tolle and Early.
  12. 7/31/04: Henri Staley OF for Dave Roberts OF May be the only good trade of a long list of nightmares (includes trading away Pee Wee Reese).
  13. Why does Suarez keep bopping from team to team? Bad guy? Maybe harmony can answer.
  14. His k% is down and he's getting hit harder. He is worse at home in Sacramento as well (464 SLG vs 376 SLG).
  15. Teams that used 4 starters last postseason: DET - first used in division series CLE - first used in championship series NYY - first used in championship series PHI - first used in division series NYM - first used in division series LAD - first used in division series SDP - first used in division series 7 out of the 12 teams reached their 4th starter.
  16. I didn't think Ryan was really a possibility at the deadline. The cost was too high for a controllable starter at that time. However, the Sox needed a 2nd starter.
  17. The May trade was in place prior to the Ryan trade. He could have pivoted from Ryan and tried to acquire another arm.
  18. Because he does?
