  1. Like I said before, great offseason and extension work but bad during the season.
  2. Matz was fine, but not enough.
  3. 1. The push for more and more velo leading to more and more injuries. Just something to watch out for IMO. 2. Saying that they'd win more without Devers and that they'd be buyers. Why open your mouth? Just dumb.
  4. I saw Robles win the salmon race. Seems like a good get TBH.
  5. Hoskins would be cheaper and has a better pull swing that would produce big numbers at Fenway like O'Neill and Duvall IMO. Alonso is more of an all fields hitter and would lose some HR's to the large RF in Fenway.
  6. The Offseason Thread has been done during the season the past few years.
  7. In that scenario, less than zero chance unless Eaton falls down.
  8. Masa is a b lineup guy? The OF is Duran/Rafaela/Abreu. Which of those guys is a b lineup guy?
  9. This is where the Sox are really missing a big bat like Anthony/Devers. Either of those guys would be difference makers in this series.
  10. Fangraphs are giving the Sox a 36.8% chance to win tonight!
  11. '21 105 wRC+ '25 103 wRC+ (now w/o Anthony for the playoffs)
  12. 4.91 ERA with 4 walks and 3 wild pitches in the first two starts though.
  13. What happened to REAL baseball players, like before Ozzie Smith?
  14. 21: Abreu over Renfroe in RF, Duran over Verdugo in LF, Romy over Arroyo at 2b, Narvaez over Vaz at C
  15. Teams platoon now. There is no such thing as a b team. It's just not a thing, especially for the Red Sox.
  16. The toughest Yankee lineup in 25 years? Nah. 2003-07 and 2009 were better. Their 2019 lineup may even be better.
  17. Of course, CHB is talking about 1978 in his article today. This dude ran out of ideas once the Sox won in '04. If the Sox win, does that mean it erases a game that happened 47 years ago? Probably not, because where would the next column come from?
