    That's what I'd do with every guy. By the metrics, you could do much worse than Toro. He was a highly rated prospect at one point for a reason.

    I was specifically thinking about the teams you mentioned like the A's... I know there are other fanbases that can fill the stadium like the Dodgers and nearby teams that can travel.

    Out of the 47 players who have 100 innings at 2b, Campbell's fielding percentage is 32nd. If you raise the innings limit to 200, he's 23rd out of 28. There's nothing about his glove that is major league average (-8 DRS, -3 ORS, -2 FRV). Campbell is NOT an MLB caliber SS even if he played it in HS like almost every other MLB IFer. Marcelo Mayer fielding percentage at 3B is 1.000. He has a 0 DRS, 0 OAA overall. Rafaela has a 602 OPS. No matter how good his defense is, that's not keeping him in a fulltime position.

    When Duran/Abreu play LHP, they aren't helping anyone. Easy enough to swap them for Rafaela/Refsnyder and plant Anthony as the every day LFer.

    They'd be blue for the Dodgers no matter what because of how great the fans travel. The other teams? Eh... Last year, there were A LOT of Padres fans at Fenway when I was there. It was very annoying as Machado was tearing the cover off the ball.

    The only reason he's the "third most likely hire" is because you believe it to be true. Cora was the bench coach for a team that won 100 games and the World Series. He was always seen as a guy that was destined to be manager. After Ausmus took over the Tigers gig, they went from winning playoff rounds every year, to being swept in the first round in year one and being out of the playoffs in his last three seasons (under .500 twice). He has not had a managerial job since then. Gardenhire's last 4 seasons in MINN: 63, 66, 66 and 70 wins. How'd it work out at his DET gig? He had a .373 winning percentage. Seems like the Sox made the right call out of those three.

    Prior to the Bregman signing, I thought they were punting on this year. With the injury, I think they will definitely punt on this season. Anthony will get up at some point. They will get their guys in the positions they want them to play. If Campbell isn't looking great at 1b, they won't force it. Sandlin gets called up to AAA in the next month or so. Maybe even see him in the bullpen down the stretch? Probably trade Blaze Jordan at the deadline. Duran, Buehler, Chapman and Wilson dealt at the deadline.

    It would take even longer to get Anthony up if they are going to move him to 1B. He'd be down in WOO for another 3-4 weeks. If they leave him in OF where he can rotate all 3 spots, he'll be up sooner.

    The starting rotation is a HUGE problem right now that affects everything the bullpen can do. The fielding was supposed to get better with Story, but he's just been awful. If Wong can't hit, he needs to be let go at the deadline too. The k rate is 100% on team construction and can't get fixed this year.

    Crochet: 1st Inning: 167 tOPS+, 100 sOPS+ 2nd Inning: 165 tOPS+, 127 sOPS+ He's an average pitcher the first two innings of the game. He needs to figure out how to adjust.

    Overall, he's a great pitcher, but I don't think Pedro Martinez or Chris Sale is letting the first pitch of the game get knocked for a HR like that.

    I will say, Cora having him bunt is a complete waste. The dude can't bunt at all and seems to be missing signs frequently. It's a part of the game that is gone and Cora needs to learn that.

    It's one of the few reasons his k rate is so low (56% swing first pitch vs 31% MLB average). He is terrible when behind in the count, but good when even or ahead in the count. I don't mind him swinging at the first pitch if the ball is a strike. I'd rather that than watching a meatball go right by him and then whiffing on two pitches out of the zone like we've seen a bunch from him.

    What kind of point is that? Shouldn't the point be what you're doing right now? Ceddanne had a very low k rate to start the year and is now just reverting (10% k rate first 11 games, 22% since then).
