  1. We don't tolerate personal attacks because the history of this site shows us that behavior leads to a very toxic environment for the entire site. Good posters leave when the site becomes toxic. We haven't been a very strict site, but saying "don't call each other names" should be easy enough to follow. It shows that you value the other posters as an equal no matter what you are currently disagreeing about. If you believe that this rule is garbage, you need to post somewhere else.
  2. If he goes back to AAA, he'll just beat up on lesser pitchers again. He needs to learn how to hit MLB pitchers.
  3. Yophery Rodriguez PLUS 33rd pick (and slot money) PLUS John Holobetz (5th rounder last year)
  4. That doesn't seem to be his problem though. He has good numbers against 4 seamers according to Statcast. I think it's pitch recognition against offspeed stuff.
  5. They've moved him as far back in the box as he possibly can go and it's only gotten worse.
  6. And we just riff on stupid stuff all the time. It's just what we do. Full support to people having FUN on here. It doesn't have to be analytics and complaints about Cora all the time.
  7. He needs to actually do it first. He was good for the entire month of June last year. Now we're playing a waiting game. 41% k rate last 6 games doesn't give me hope at the moment.
  8. Feel free to find somewhere else that fits you then. We don't take this place seriously, but we don't resort to personal insults. A lot of us have posted on here together for many years and get along just fine, understanding we each have our own personal quirks.
  9. We have different definitions on what a leadoff hitter can be. That's fine. He's replaceable to me, but not to you.
  10. You can question Cora's integrity. You can't call another poster a child as you did in your previous post.
  11. He was spotted running at Fenway. I'm sure he'll be good to go in that time frame.
  12. I didn't say he was awful. I just said there are other players on the Sox that are playing better. The Sox are 7th in Batting fWAR so they have everyday players that are playing well. Duran is having an ok season, but he's not playing as well as Rafaela or Abreu IMO. I'd also rather take a chance on high variance Anthony than Duran. Duran has value across the league. If they wanted to move him, there are probably 10+ teams they could trade him to today.
  13. I'm sure they'll be juuuuuuuust close enough to hem and haw around then too. 👎
  14. Fatse, let's go... You can ignore most of the roster, just work on the important guys.
  15. It's the goal, but at some point they also have to be realistic about the goal.
  16. I'd rather DFA Story and not ruin the return on a Duran package! I'm not the one running the team and don't think that scenario is realistic under Henry though.
  17. Hamilton has been one of the worst hitters in all of MLB. They could DFA him and be better off for it. They were offered substantial trade packages for this guy last offseason and didn't move him. WTH? Breslow made some bad decisions last offseason.
  18. Cora will find a way to play him 4 times a week 2b/Cf/Lf/1b wherever. He becomes a bad glove UTIL.
  19. That's what happens when you smell like a wet dog out there. I do like the Jason Werth TikTok of him showing up to a men's league softball game and just hitting a pitch to the moon. It reminds me of playing in a work league in LA that had Canseco in it. Not sure what fake job he had. 😑
