  1. Right, but they weren't buying and selling at the deadline. They sold at the deadline, got hot afterwards and made the postseason. It proof that the Sox could deal Chapman, Duran and someone else, but still get hot enough to make the playoffs anyway. So why not just sell?
  2. Tigers were 52-57 at the deadline. They didn't think they were making the playoffs at that point.
  3. Misner can't win because (1) he doesn't play against the Sox enough 1361 OPS and (b) you didn't even spell his name right.
  4. I could see pinch hitting against a tougher lefty matchup, but I don't think it should be an automatic switch they way Cora treats some of these other LHBs.
  5. He shouldn't sit Anthony more than one game as Anthony has always hit LHP well. Mayer may well sit all 3 games. We'll see.
  6. Sox have a history of taking Yarbrough to the woodshed. Don't mess this one up.
  7. -14 DRS for Campbell. This is why they were willing to try him at 1B. He just may not be a MIFer going forward unless he can absolutely mash.
  8. I'm not sure I want him PLAYING against LHP. I'd rather Anthony in there. He doesn't need to POST like Cora wants him to.
  9. If I got a vote: Carlos Narvaez Kristian Campbell (stuffing the box so that the Sox get a PIP) Jacob Wilson Shane Smith Mayer (I think he could make a run at it actually)
  10. Thumbs up is what exactly? I'm double thumbs up on selling right now.
  11. That catcher has a 14% CS rate. However, all the steals were off the starter Lagrange. He must stare the catcher down and not hold runners on.
  12. This needs to be said a little bit louder for the people in the back.
  13. Is O'Neill Cruz a classic leadoff hitter? Ian Happ? There are lots of guys hitting leadoff that aren't your classic leadoff type guys. I think that was my point, not that I was ranking the leadoff hitters better than Duran.
  14. Bowden has very little credibility ever since he has been out of an MLB front office. He knows about as much as you or me.
  15. Duran and Abreu are close enough that I wouldn't be frustrated if they traded one over the other. I just believe there's more long term value in keeping Abreu.
  16. For Hamilton, it was really mid-May to mid-June at 908 OPS. Mid-June to end of July he was 501 OPS.
  17. Well, going 3 for 5 in one game doesn't make a player hot as hell IMO. He's had a good year, but I wouldn't count on him for much.
  18. When ownership turned on Tito and Theo after they left, it was so low. I think that really turned me off forever on them. I'll be happy for more championships, but I'll never be a John Henry fan because of what they put in the Globe.
  19. Click your username on the top right of the page. There's a drop down with "ignored users." Click on that and let your fingers do the walking.
  20. The only list that still matters is the April 2016 list. Some of us still remember... 🏴 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w0KkvMUclOs
