  1. You probably don't have to wait too long if the rumors are true.
  2. He was activated from the injury and played in 3 games before being DFA'd.
  3. He's "ok" at 1b, but really needs to just spend all offseason working on one position and just playing there. He's not naturally athletic enough that he can be moved all over the diamond. He's a LF/1B guy right now. In a perfect world he plays 2b, but he's kind of a mess there. I wouldn't trade anyone just to open up a spot for Campbell. He needs to earn a bench spot first.
  4. Maybe? There was no set timetable with him and he was getting better then he wasn't then he was then he wasn't. Hard to say what the initial outlook was or how long his quad strain was going to take to heal. A moderate strain is 4-6 weeks and he was out 7.
  5. Nick Burdi's right foot contusion in July?
  6. I try not to overinflate college draftees until they at least start pitching in some professional games. Witherspoon should be good, but we don't know how good. No real idea about Phillips or Eyanson. I'm not a big fan of Sandlin anymore. I'm sure he looks great in his side sessions, but whenever I watch his games it's a rough watch. Clarke has had a weird blister issue and hasn't been the same since the beginning of the season. He also doesn't go very long in his starts. Fajardo has been dominant at SAL, but I want to see him at GRE before I strap a rocket to him. The hitters in low A aren't very good IMO.
  7. You know, sometimes these games can really be frustrating. I'm just glad they brought in Hicks so early on that I knew I could turn the game off and find something else to do with my evening. Thank you, Cora! #blessed
  8. He has not been good since being sent down to AAA. Maybe he just isn't recovered from the injury he suffered earlier in the season? Maybe he's still working on things? Most of us are actively rooting for Campbell and just don't want him put into a position where he's going to most likely fail.
  9. In 2020, Austin Meadows had a similar injury (same grade strain) and was back prior to 4 weeks. If on a similar timeline, Roman would get Regular Season AB's. There is SOME hope.
  10. Good enough for what? To make the playoffs? Yes. To win the WS if Anthony isn't heathy? Seems unlikely.
  11. Understandable considering the circumstances. I'll let it slide. 😎
  12. Ankle injury that is being monitored. Talk of him getting an MRI.
  13. You didn't ask a question in your post. You are asking if fans are happy with Devers's play, which has been close to his career averages, yet you blame him for the Giants tanking. From what I've seen, most Giants fans are happy with Raffy. They have no reason not to be. They didn't give up anything of value to get him except $$$.
  14. Why? This makes no sense per any metric. Statcast shows that even though the walls are closer at Oracle, that it's much harder to hit it out (LHB can hit some cheapies at Fenway or go Oppo to the Monster, but being on the water in SF really takes the energy out of the ball). Do you think SF thought Devers would make their pitching go from 3.30 ERA pre-trade to 4.30 post-trade? Devers has a 1 DRS/0 OAA at 1b with SF. What is he specifically doing to make them pitch worse?
  15. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh
  16. For example, Roman had horrible baseball card numbers in Salem and was one of the first early promotions that year. All the underlying metrics were still showing that he was going to breakout. Campbell just isn't there right now.
  17. Have no idea what's going on with him. He has such a crazy swing that if his body is slightly off, his velo may go down bigly. I'm still pulling for him, but don't see a reason to rush it.
  18. He's going to be the Friday Night starter going forward. All year, he's only pitched once per week in MiLB and is going to be on a reduced work load until the end of the season.
  19. You're the one who mentioned the shorter porch for some reason.
  20. The big differences seem to be: We're higher on Jhostynxon, Early, Yophery and Johanfran. They are higher on Perales, Clarke, Sandlin, Taylor and Uberstine. A combined top 20 would be: Tolle Arias Garcia Witherspoon Perales Early Clarke Valera Romero Sandlin Soto Gonzales Phillips Bleis Eyanson Cespedes Paez Fajardo Taylor Uberstine
  21. His defense isn't that good. He's not making good contact and isn't pulling the ball. The Sox admitted that he skipped a few developmental steps by being rushed. I wonder if they've gone back to the basics or are deconstructing something?
