  1. Then let's just compare Wright's performance and salary vs Buchholz's performance and salary? Obviously, Buchholz is not worth it since he is paid far more than Wright. The Price/Buchholz comp is even more silly than that, especially when people make troll posts regarding Buchholz errr I mean Price's stats...
  2. I get your point. My point is that I don't agree with your conclusion. You "gambled" on a guy who is more likely to s*** the bed than provide TOTR stuff. He struggles pitching over 120 innings on a yearly basis. To me, that's not a guy I throw in the rotation when there are enough other question marks. I'd rather a more reliable high floor/low ceiling guy ala Wade Miley.
  3. He is just as likely to flat out suck for the rest of the year. If you guys enjoy watching him pitch, you have stronger stomachs than I do.
  4. At this point, Swihart isn't ready to be a good defensive catcher so I wouldn't trade Hanigan unless they got tremendous value for him.
  5. Even if he stinks, they'll still pick it up because it gives the team great value!
  6. I might not like Larry, Henry and Werner, but if they didn't buy the team, we may still be waiting for a WS title.
  7. I'd take Tito back in a heartbeat.
  8. I thought Hannigan would've been traded once Vazquez was declared healthy.
  9. He has been hitting well since the calendar switched to May, but showing no power.
  10. Unfortunately, Buchholz has another no-brainer team option for 2017 at $13.5. Note, the option increases to $14M if he finishes 1st or 2nd in CY voting this year!
  11. I don't really think he's mentally fragile. He seems physically fragile though. Guys with his frame and injury history don't typically have long careers.
  12. I'm still surprised Castillo wasn't brought up. Maybe they were worried about options?
  13. That's basically my point. Buchholz isn't struggling because of one or two bad pitches a game. He's just not pitching very well right now.
  14. So the homerun wasn't a bad pitch then? So he threw zero bad pitches the other day?
  15. Those aren't real people and you know it.
  16. I understood that. My point is that you don't accumulate runs without getting people on base. Clearly there was more than one bad pitch. The one bad pitch analysis is completely bogus imo, especially when the guy allows 4 walks and 5 hits. It's not like he was throwing a gem.
  17. Well, I don't believe that stuff was said on this board. You can leave those hot takes wherever BDC was interred.
  18. For shits and giggles, if Clay walks the bases loaded and then gives up a bomb, is that only one bad pitch?
  19. An unearned homerun?
  20. She'll re-sign Baldelli and Sizemore.
  21. It's funny how "one bad pitch" turns into 4 runs. Really tough to do when the bases are empty. Must have been an in the park quadruple homerun?
  22. If he had a positive WAR in 2014, the claculation is nonsense. Just look at his other stats. They are horrible. Until there is only one way to calculate WAR, it's a nonessential stat to me.
  23. One of the many years he could only manage half a season. Oh joy!
