My guess is that most players would hit better in wins as runs are a function of batters getting on base.
One of my pet peeves is NESN popping up stats like: Over JBJ's 8 game hitting streak, he's batting .360. No s***. A guy who has gotten a hit in each game is batter above .333?!?!? OMG OMG OMG
So now I have to fret about DUMBrowski's inability to staff a decent bullpen and the impending free agency of all my favorite players???????
Thanks a lot.
So, you'd re-sign everyone? Where would John Henry come up with all that money??? Unbelievable...
Honestly, except for DH, your lineup is realistic to me. I don't see why this ownership couldn't keep all these guys around if they wanted to.
So, you'll resign Betts and Bradley and move Moncada to LF. Are you trading Beni? Or are you moving Beni to SS? Maybe moving Betts to 2b and Beni to SS with a Pedroia trade? You're not moving Pedroia to SS are you?
The real difference: Merloni is on WEEI, Eck and Remy are on NESN. I'm sure NESN tries to wrangle their guys in a little bit and Merloni is just really shooting for ratings sometimes.
I'd sit Papi and have Young or one of the other OFers DH. Papi is really wearing down and it's painful to watch at times.
BASEBALL IS AN EASY SPORT TO PLAY THOUGH ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE A DH WHO ONLY HAS TO WALK TO AND FROM THE PLATE THERE'S VIRTUALLY NO STRESS ON YOUR BODY I KNOW BECAUSE I PLAYED A DOUBLEHEADER ONCE ON MY BEER LEAGUE TEAM AND FELT COMPLETELY FINE AFTERWARDS!!!!!!!!!!!
