    On the basis that #'s 2-6 have less service time and are further away from FA. It would be interesting to see where he'd be ranked if they all had the same service time. Lindor, Bryant, Seager, Rizzo and Correa are monster talents though. Trout is #1 and has similar service time to Mookie. I wouldn't trade Mookie for Trout because of the increased salary. Trout is a far better player, but Mookie is a huge bargain for what he does.

    Then we'd get lovely Wacko Jacko posts like "Ellsbury is made of glass. He'll be having season ending surgery tomorrow." Now we just get "don't worry, he'll turn it around soon. His arm stinks and he's an overrated fielder, but he can still hit and kinda run! Not terrible if you ask me!"

    Selsky is the only OF on the 40 man roster not currently playing in Boston. The other two starters at Pawtucket are Castillo (not being promoted in a 1,000,000 years) and Aneury Tavarez. Tavarez was the guy the O's picked in the Rule V draft but had to return. He was mashing AA pitching as a 25 year old. He has decent speed, but the Sox basically refuse to play him in CF. He's only had 4 starts in Pawtucket. He went 5 for 8 in his first 2 games with 2 HRs. He's been 0 for 10 ever since. In order for him to be called up, he'd have to really start mashing. He'd be an interesting call up, but if they aren't interested in playing him in CF, his value is diminished.

    If you're moving on from JBJ, who are your starting OFers? Young can mash LHP, but who hits against RHP?

    I don't care how it gets done. Results matter to me. 7th in BAA. 3rd in Runs. 3rd in ERA. 5th in Saves. 7th in BBs (lowest). 5th in Losses (lowest). Low batting average + not giving up walks + not blowing games = pretty good bullpen.

    2012 - 2014 was the WMB experiment. I'm not sure many people were complaining about 3b in 2012. In 2015 they signed Pablo. Pablo failed. Shaw played over 100 games in 2016 and was a 2 WAR player. If it wasn't for the Pablo contract, I believe they would have found a professional 3b to play until Devers is ready. Tough to sign a FA 3b when you already have Sandoval on the roster.

    How about: IF THE INFIELD FLY RULE IS NOT CALLED, RUN IF THE BALL HITS THE GROUND. Definitely don't meander around and get tagged out. Definitely don't stand directly on 1b like a dope. Don't fail to run out the hit to 1b.
