  1. Brett accepted the QO, being the 3rd ever to do so. Did the Dodgers expect Brett to take the QO, or did they hope to get a 1st rounder instead?
  2. The Sox have lost 15 games by 2 or less runs. If they scored more runs every game (as was suggested), they'd win more consistently.
  3. I don't think the offense is a problem or needs to be transformed.
  4. There's no excuse for foolish business decisions like that.
  5. I will hope for a hot streak then.
  6. If the Sox averaged an additional 4 runs per game, they'd definitely win more consistently.
  7. Is Pedroia healthy right now? If so, then why is the team swirling the toilet bowl?
  8. I've said all along they need to do 2 of 3. I liked how he was hitting and using all fields early this season. It didn't last as long as I would have liked though. Is he a big pronlem on the team right now? No, but we still have 5 more years to go on his contract. Yuck. He's a fine little player who is the most overrated Boston sports star of my lifetime.
  9. Not sure why moving Vazquez to AAA would help him learn to hit MLB pitching. He's fine in Boston. He's not the reason the Sox have struggled.
  10. He's far from the only one.
  11. You've completely changed my mind.
  12. Harder to find a year where he stays healthy.
  13. Or he's just trying to maintain his confidence? Idk. I just don't take what Farrell says to the media as gospel. It's all PR spin to me.
  14. That one reliable barometer is getting injured during the year, gutting it out and causing a second half swoon.
  15. So we can't make more than one change at a time? Can't bring in new pitching and fire the manager?
  16. Pablo forced this move by eating himself out of the league. He played terribly in ST. It was an easy choice.
  17. Yup, there's really no discussion to be had when you are able to pay $13M for a guy who should never start a game in MLB again.
  18. Rich Hill is most likely going on the DL again this year. If he had a better medical history, he'd be worth more.
  19. I've lit the BornToRun mojo several times now...
  20. No, that's an overpay.
  21. Sure, for Owens straight up.
  22. Also, if there's a win now directive, he did a s***** job of constructing the pitching staff. Kelly andBuchholz shouldn't have been relied on to be in the rotation. I said it over and over again this offseason and I was shown to be right in my assessment.
