  1. That's fine, but we have 3 rings from the past 15 years, the Jays hadn't had success since the first few years of the Clinton presidency. I don't see the impetus for us to mortgage the future for a short term run.
  2. And a year later they have zilch to show for it except a 3rd place team. It could be a horror show up there next year.
  3. This is literally the craziest thing about ERA.
  4. Coppolella says flatly that the Braves aren’t trading Julio Teheran, who, of course, has been the subject of months of rumors and discussion. As we’ve noted elsewhere in these pages, Teheran is controllable through 2020, so the Braves could conceivably hang onto him as a veteran anchor for their rotation, even though his fine season and the relatively limited number of good starting pitchers available would also make him a strong trade chip this summer. I guess Teheran is off the market?
  5. Eck is the greatest. He calls out Farrell. He adds to the baseball discussion rather than rag on someone's polo shirt. Plus, he's not Steve Lyons.
  6. Everything about 2010 is forgettable. Buch's ERA was 2.33, but his FIP was 3.61. I'd take 173 innings from 2010 Buchholz and wouldn't complain. Even that year, he needed a month off to lick his wounds. I honestly don't remember how I felt about his performance throughout the year. Game Score has that year as similar to 2016 Price as well.
  7. Puff puff give... That's how it works. Share and share alike?
  8. If they were preparing Benintendi to be called up any moment, why wouldn't he be getting reps in LF? Isn't he still playing CF every day?
  9. His 2015 wasn't legendary. Per Game Score it's basically Price's 2016 season so far.
  10. We'll cross that bridge when Brentz stops hitting. Right now, he's not an issue.
  11. "Son a ma gun!" - Santino Marella
  12. No, your points have been fair. I don't think you are bagging on him.
  13. That's pretty high imo. We were blessed with Roger and Pedro. Those types of guys don't come around very often. 2015 was Price's best year. I'm not sure we can reasonably pitch to those numbers year in and year out. He's a career 3.19 ERA guy. I'd expect him to be around there +/- .5.
  14. At times. He's had ace-like starts and 3 real clunkers. If he goes the next 3 months without another clunker, his numbers will look a lot better.
  15. I'm not sure anyone has said that people can't complain about Price. A700 has said over and over again that Price AND the 4/5 guys need to be better. Where's the problem? It seems to me that the issue derived when people complained the Sox need better 4/5's, but were outright told that they can't complain about 4/5's because Price stinks. Maybe it's a chicken and egg thing at this point. Price needs to pitch better. The 4 and 5 starters need to be replaced. No one has said otherwise that I can recall.
  16. Do you expect your ace to pitch gems each and every start?
  17. Y'all need to Pokemon Go and chill.
  18. And you're super duper wrong about Ells.
  19. Lowrie started in AAA and was called up a few weeks into the season and then was sent back down.
  20. I don't believe anyone has said otherwise.
  21. Tyrannosaurus Rekt
  22. Just stop picking up the Urias and Giolito's of the world.
