    My point is that it's dumb to say you shouldn't sign Pierce because you have Chavis in the system. I guess Jacko doesn't want to sign anymore FA's since the Yankees farm system is so strong then?

    Also, CHAVIS HAS ONLY PLAYED 12 GAMES AT 1B. We don't really know what he can do at this point.
