    Honestly, it doesn’t really matter what team it is if it isn’t the Sox. No difference between the Rays and Yanks to me.

    So, now that there is a 60 man roster in effect this year, one of the big stipulations is that NOBODY can be traded this season unless they are on a 60 man roster. Does that limit the types of deals that can go down at the deadline? Seems to. Also, trade deadline is now 8/31.

    Bullpen management should be much different this year. It's really a year for Girardi to be managing somewhere. Just blow up those arms for a pennant.

    If ERod, Eovaldi and McHugh are healthy all year, they could be fine depending on what they do with the 4th and 5th starters. I think they run out Weber as a Jalen Beeks type. If McHugh isn't ready, maybe Perez slides up to the 3rd spot and they have a bullpen game every 5th turn? It'll be really interesting to see how those last two rotations spots are managed. I think they underperformed last year and maybe they can get to 35 - 25?

    If you look at how the Yanks fared against the AL East last year, they could go 43-17. However, I think it's going to be a weird year and I think most teams will struggle to get into a rhythm.

    Munoz isn't on the 40 man roster. I think he's on the outside looking in. Brewer was an absolute dog last year. Hall had a decent year as a starter for Toledo in 2018, but wasn't impressive anywhere last year.

    Who do you think will be on the 30 man roster when the season starts? My guess: C - Plawecki/Vazquez 1B - Moreland/Chavis 2B - Peraza/Arauz SS - Xander/Lin 3B - Devers LF - JD/Beni RF - Pillar/Verdugo CF - Bradley SP - McHugh/Perez/ERod/Eovaldi/Weber RP - Barnes/Brasier/Brice/Hart/Hembree/Hernandez/Mazza/Osich/Taylor/Walden/Workman Plawecki looked decent in ST. I don't see them adding Lucroy to the mix. I think Lin provides great versatility and Arauz is just being stashed since he's Rule V. Weber could be the Sox version of Beeks. There are a few unknowns in the pen, but Taylor, Brice, DHern and Hart all could provide a lot of value.

    This could end up being a real cluster. Hope it's fun though. Should the Sox go for it, or just punt the season and get a high pick? I'm not sure there'd be much blowback if the Sox went 25 - 35 or whatever. Any team that gets in an early funk is basically done for the season, right?

    @NYGovCuomo I am announcing with @GovMurphy and @GovNedLamont a joint travel advisory. All individuals traveling from states with significant community spread of COVID into NY, NJ, or CT must quarantine for 14 days. This travel advisory is effective midnight tonight. I wonder what impact stuff like this will have on MLB. Maybe the Yankees and Mets don't get to have home games? Get moved to a neutral site? Note: this is not a political post, I am not commenting on Cuomo's decision either way.

    Any player or manager who comes within 6 feet of an umpire to argue a call could receive a suspension, per Peter Abraham of the Boston Globe. Wouldn't be an issue if they just booted up the robots.

    Camp will begin July 3, but players will have to show up for spring training no later than July 1, Nightengale adds. Who is going to tell them that it's not SPRING anymore?
