  1. 1. Yes. 2. Yes.
  2. "We did what we did, but that doesn't make us a bad person. We're gonna learn from this and we're gonna move forward." Jose Altuve
  3. @chloeg_13 Carlos correa is a free agent after the 2021 season. George Springer is a free agent after 2020. Jose Altuve is under contract until 2025. Alex Bregman is under contract until 2024. guess which Astros are the most remorseful.
  4. “Don’t forget we’re humans and life is about making mistakes.” -Jose Altuve
  5. Draft better. Trade some relievers and other guys. You can get decent prospects with lesser deals (i.e. Miller for ERod).
  6. If they are going to bring anyone in, it should still give enough wiggle room so that the Sox can try to do an extension with ERod and Devers.
  7. He was definitely Ride or Die with the roster. Spoiler alert: he dead.
  8. People in the Fens better have their police radios on 24/7 the next few years.
  9. One that is basically Richard Ramirez according to SCM33.
  10. Or just non tendered him?
  11. Posting like it's the OK Corral. Quickest post in the west.
  12. @alexspeier New Red Sox outfielder Alex Verdugo (back) may be sideline at the start of the season. The possibility was known in the trade, and added to Red Sox interest in Kevin Pillar
  13. But they'd still have a top 3 player on the roster.
  14. No to Danny Duffy. If you're going to spend 30M over the next 2 years, may have well just kept Price around.
  15. No, that was to speed up the game by 30 seconds. Rather than institute pitch clocks or anything that would really speed up the game.
  16. Surprisingly, Pillar's first pitch swinging % 39.5 isn't that much greater than JBJ's 36. Pitches/AB Pillar: 3.3 JBJ: 3.9
  17. Pillar put the ball in play 79% of the time last year. JBJ put the ball in play 56% of the time. Pillar also had a higher % of productive outs (due to JBJ k rate).
  18. @RedSox Jeter reporting for #SoxSpring! ^ A tweet we never thought we’d send.
  19. So if the Sox traded Mookie, the Pats let Brady go, what could the other two teams do to ruin Boston sports? Trade Patrice? Trade Tatum? That'd be a Mt Rushmore of ownership giving up on the fans for sure.
  20. They made a few bad trades, but could have easily gotten under the cap last year.
  21. https://www.theringer.com/mlb/2020/2/13/21135658/mookie-betts-boston-red-sox-trade-los-angeles-dodgers-david-price-math-mythbusting
  22. The cliff didn't need to happen. He should have won the WS in 2018 and then moved Price and not signed Eovaldi last year.
  23. And it wasn't a hometown discount at the time. He was the first 2b to ever get a 100M contract.
