  1. Too late. https://www.pinterest.ca/pin/471470654715257425/
  2. Sorry, I'm not used to people agreeing with me on here.
  3. Or maybe he would have just resigned for having to dump Mookie and Price?
  4. Exactly, which is why I said the Jays weren't far and away a better team than the Sox.
  5. He's also 4-5 years older than Jr and Bo. I just don't think he has the ceiling of the other two.
  6. @SoxProspects Wasn't clear when Red Sox started Fall Instructional Camp if they'd play other clubs, but they've added a couple games against TB. Lineup today: Rosario 8 Yorke 4 Decker 9 Baldwin 3 Bonaci 6 Northcut DH Jordan 5 Marrero 2 Vaughan 7 Groome 1 Bazardo, Cellucci in relief.
  7. Yankees bench coach Carlos Mendoza has emerged as a candidate for two different managerial openings, George A. King III of the New York Post reports. Both the Red Sox and Tigers have spoken with the 40-year-old Mendoza, who just completed his third season on New York’s big league coaching staff.
  8. I'm also not sure that they available guys warrant a splurge this year.
  9. Bo is really, really good. I'm not entirely sold on Cavan yet.
  10. Henry for sure did.
  11. Moncada is a boom or bust guy. He stunk this year in part due to COVID. Maybe he can turn it around in 2021? He was legit in 2019 if you look at his numbers. In terms of fWAR, his 5.7 would be the 3rd best of Pedroia's career.
  12. Thanks to Ben sanctions for cheating.
  13. Hey, if Dombrowski was here in 2020, he'd probably have traded a few of those guys too!
  14. Until the Jays get some sort of pitching rotation, they'll be closer to .500 over the course of 162 games. Right now, their rotation is Ryu, Roark (yuck), Anderson (go back to the Brewers) and nobody (if Pearson doesn't pan out). They need to sign 2 FA starters. Maybe they splurge for Bauer or bring Stroman back? This year, TOR's OPS+ was 108, Sox were 107 (with dreadful years for Beni, Devers, JD). I think these two teams are closer than you think.
  15. Casas, Mata, Song, Jiminez, Ward, Houck
  16. Hard to trade prospects that don't show any promise.
  17. And now that he has lux tax space, there shouldn't be any more strings from ownership.
  18. @JoeGiglioSports “Dave Dombrowski, architect of two World Series winners, is more interested in the Phillies job than the Los Angeles Angels' GM vacancy, according to two sources, but only if he has complete autonomy.” Well, it's not like Dombrowski can ruin that pen.
  19. Swihart is not a large part of anyone's future. Espinoza is done. Beeks is a bullpen arm. Marrero is a nobody. Guerra, Basabe, Anderson, Rijo, Basabe, Callahan, Bautista, Asuaje and Nogosek are all easily replaceable. Dealing Dubon, Allen and Buttrey didn't really wreck the franchise. They probably could still have those three guys, but last year's team would have still been very bad.
  20. IDK, I think adding Verdugo and Downs could be a big part of his legacy.
  21. Well, I'm glad we aren't still relitigating Jose Iglesias.
  22. And the Dodgers went for overkill in 2020. Maybe the Betts contract hinders them in the future? I think it was worth it for the Dodgers fans who haven't had a title in over 30 years.
  23. I believe the Sox have interviewed him in the past. Maybe he wasn’t impressive then?
  24. The only questionable trade was Pomeranz. That worked out fine in the long run though.
  25. Long leash? It has been one year.
