  1. Still a higher winning % than the all time Seattle Mariners mark of .470 (3246-3655). AND the Sox record includes one of the most dreadful of all time seasons in a small sample of 1.37 years. In order for the Mariners to get above .500, they'd have to have a winning percentage of .600 (97 wins per year) for over 12 straight years.
  2. Brewer's xFIP as a reliever was 3.51. He should have never been put in the position to start.
  3. As a reliever in regards to the other guys thrown out there, yes. You can't really just dump everyone and expect all your reclamations to work out. You should keep guys like Weber, Mazza, Valdez and Brewer around because their replacements would most likely be worse (as we saw from Triggs, Covey, et al). Springs will probably stick around too. He pitched well until the last week or so.
  4. At the very least, going to Anderson was a dumb idea as he's not been very effective recently.
  5. Brewer and Weber were successful (in Sox terms) out of the bullpen. I think they stick around for next year. However, Bloom could dump 20 guys off the 40 man and it wouldn't affect this team's chances all that much.
  6. Snell is their best pitcher. He was dominating. They deserved to lose after pulling him after only 73 pitches.
  7. Just flat out ignoring the 5'3" 2b in the room....... Sheesh.
  8. He could transition to 2b easily.
  9. Or we can have another War on WAR post or trying to statistically dismiss choking? Important things like the downfall of MiLB have no traction here.
  10. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_most-played_video_games_by_player_count Fortnite is still really popular, but I think it's probably more of a casual or kids game at this point. Aside from League of Legends (probably the most famous esports game), I think Dota 2 is probably the "cooler" esports game at the moment. I haven't heard much about the others and don't really play any online games to begin with.
  11. I originally thought she used a different vowel.
  12. Yup, there's no Sox games to talk about this year. We also missed out on 100 regular season games to yell about.
  13. Yup, Rays have the Chokers right where they want them.
  14. If they need to, they can work around it. Better if they just don’t have to worry about it though.
  15. No IL from WS-ST.
  16. I think they keep one of Puello or Wilson (especially since they are losing JBJ).
  17. @redsoxstats The Sox now have enough room to add Pedroia, Sale, Rodriguez, Brewer, and Hart back on to the 40-man once JBJ hits free agency. Later they will need to continue the bloodletting for Groome, Mata, Seabold, Wong, Potts, and Rosario.
  18. @RedSox The #RedSox today announced the following roster moves: Outrighted to AAA: Lin and Leyer Outrighted to FA: Kickham, Godley and Triggs
  19. Of his 5 Sox seasons, only one was positive WAR. Which one was the outlier again?
  20. Brewer is an adequate reliever. He should just never ever start.
  21. Brice, Covey, Godley, Hall, Hart, Kickham, Leyer, Stock, Triggs, Walden, Peraza, Chatham, Lin I bet they keep Aybar since he's the youngest pitcher on the 40 man.
