@IanCundall I’ll have a lot more on the Red Sox fall instructs over the coming weeks, but a name to watch at the 40-man roster deadline is RHP Eduard Bazardo. Bazardo’s velocity was 93-97, up from 91-95 in 2019. He also has a plus CB with an elite spin rate of ~3000 rpm that he can command. Bazardo was excellent at instructs and threw a lot, so other teams got a good look. If the Red Sox don’t protect him, there’s a good chance a team would take a shot on him in the Rule 5 draft given he has the potential for two plus pitches and at least average control.

And at that point, it's just personal preference. I think I'd trust the 07 defense more than the 04 defense. Crisp > Damon Lugo Pedroia > Bellhorn Tek = Tek

He'll be in AA by the end of 2022. May even be pitching for Salem in 2021 depending on his commitment.

Comes down to Lugo vs Bellhorn. Lugo had a higher dWAR in 07 than Bell did in 04. Both had better than normal years.

Yes, Soriano was bad at 2b, but was good in OF.

It was just wrong seeing Youkilis playing 2b, but it has now been normalized. Mientkiewicz too...

Moustakas has over 600 innings at 2b. That's just wrong.

And you get an OFer too. I think Chavis might hit himself out of the league in a few years. I think Sanchez has a decent chance of being an All Star again as he was in 2019.

I enjoyed watching 2020 so I bet I'll enjoy 2021 even more. (If 2020 went for a full 162 it would have been really rough though.)
