  1. I don't vibe with him. The Monarch? Yes. Dean? Yes. Dr Mrs The Monarch? Yes. Henchmen 21? Fine. Hank? No. Rusty? No. Brock? No. Quizboy? Maybe.
  2. I was going to say no to Schoop, but realized I was getting him confused with the hated Robert Andino.
  3. Schaal 100%. I don't want to be Darth Vader or Brock Samson.
  4. I'm ok with that.
  5. Dalbec is better vs LHP, but he's not a dog vs RHP. I think you platoon Dalbec at 1b until he gets his feet wet, then he's an everyday guy.
  6. Peraza is cheap. They'll keep him until Downs is ready. Then he'll get DFA'd.
  7. Wanda Sykes would make these games more enjoyable to watch tho.
  8. Not even close... Ugh.
  9. Yeah, no to full time. I think the idea was that Chavis would platoon at 2b and Dalbec would platoon at 1b.
  10. Beni is out "indefinitely." Who would trade for that during a playoff run?
  11. If anyone is ever using a voice option to read my posts, please only use the Mandy Patinkin from Princess Bride voice.
  12. From the Henry perspective, they still want to get fans for 2021. I'd be surprised if they just rolled out the 2020 Sox redux.
  13. MiLB coach. Maybe NESN personality?
  14. He's fine. He's cheap. Maybe he'll become a better 1b, but he's not a butcher out there.
  15. I agree on all fronts. There is NO CHANCE JD opts out.
  16. The last thing I want to do is argue about Martin Freakin' Perez. He was brought in to be a perfectly serviceable 4/5. How that makes him untouchable in a trade is beyond me though. A 29 year old who never has been a 3 WAR player. I mean, he's quite the low risk/low reward guy. If you can manage him for 4 - 5 innings every 5 days, fine. It's not great. He's not an innings eater. Isn't his highest pitch total this season like 84? He's not a workhorse. That 4.54 FIP and 5.56 xFIP leads me to believe that there is some REGRESSION (not positive regression either) to come. I mean a .224 BABIP? That's 60 freakin' points better than he's ever seen before. Doesn't seem sustainable to me! BB% is at an all time high, but his WHIP is at an all time low. Are we to believe that the Red Sox have some sort of magical defense that is keeping his WHIP so low? That Kevin Pillah is somehow making that ERA look so good that we can no longer move him unless we completely fleece the other team in a deal?!?!? Really? Really!?!?!? His barrel percentage is the highest of his career! Does Martin Perez imbue these balls with magnetism for Red Sox gloves? Do we honestly think that a joker like no nothing Ron Roenicke is managing Martin Perez so well that he can outperform his peripherals? A pitcher with a decreased GB rate, an increased FB rate with an unsustainable HR/FB % sounds like a guy you are going to hitch up your carriage to? This is no clydesdale? This isn't even a show pony! This is some busted old ass hobby horse that has been scribbled on by generations and generations of ne'er-do-wells. His left on base % is higher than it has been in 7 years! His SIERA is 5.5frickin'3! Batters aren't even swinging at his garbage outside of the zone. You want to talk about smoke in mirrors! His o swing % is 24.8%. 75% of the time batters are not enticed to even swing at the slop he's throwing.
  17. Heyman is NEVER to be trusted.
  18. My dad is legally blind (has been since he was a child) and he's either adjusted the settings on his computer or has a program that does it for him that allows him to read normal sites. I'll ask him the next time I talk to him.
  19. It's unsure how that will be handled.
  20. His high k rate and huge hole in his swing have nothing to do with PEDs. There's just not a whole lot there. He's not great in the field. He doesn't run well. He just hits dingers. The only problem is that it's no longer a unique skill.
  21. Sale was the second best pitcher in the league per fWAR for 2017 - 2018. You don't get that by giving up b level prospects. Not sure if he'll ever get back to being close to that guy, but he's a very hard worker and could at least finish his contract as a quality #2 like latter day Bret Saberhagen (i.e. 98-99). I do that same trade knowing what I do now. The only trade you really want to take back is the Travis Shaw/Dubon for NPC Reliever #2 (Thornburg).
  22. Being in purgatory between the bottom 5 and the PO contenders is punished in baseball more than any other sport since after the top 5, the talent in the draft is a total crap shoot. Uh, they have the third worst record in all of MLB.
  23. You can’t trade for anyone not in the player pool.
  24. It did for Martin Perez.
