  1. Also, Hall and Weber cleared waivers to AAA
  2. Stock DFA’d Signed Joel Payamps
  3. Ben deserves a little blame for sure. Hope Bloom doesn’t worry about feeding the monster.
  4. Who signed the checks?
  5. Henry brought us the WS! Must lick his boots and never question!
  6. Getty’s k rate is lower than Dalbec or Chavis though.
  7. Hart is fine for an org arm.
  8. Weber is kind of a surprise. They were high on him last year. Got rid of Lakins to keep him.
  9. Next week I'm on vacation so I hope to be doing something more exciting than posting on here.
  10. @PeteAbe For the first time, the #RedSox have given Jason Varitek a title in the major league coaching staff. He's the "game planning coordinator." That's a new position. Kevin Walker, who was assistant pitching coach, is now bullpen coach. Ramon Vazquez, who was listed as "coach" in the media guide last year, is now "quality control coach/interpreter." @byJulianMack The main focus of Varitek’s position, game planning coordinator, will focus in on primarily pitchers and catchers but he will also be involved in all aspects.
  11. It's a shame that this won't happen during the week while I'm avoiding work.
  12. Hall had a 1.321 OPS against LHB last year. It was .981 in 2019. It was 1.582 in 2018.
  13. There was a lot of talk early in the offseason how Springs was going to stick around. I still can't quite explain it.
  14. The fact that they let roids ride for well over a decade before they said or did anything drives me crazy. I don't believe it had anything to do with "the kids."
  15. Belle was a scary dude. He was great for baseball though. You need players like that.
  16. Stock, Hall and Hart will be in first wave of cuts IMO. That gives them 7 spots for the guys we've mentioned. The rest shouldn't be too far behind.
  17. Problem being that the best players are getting screwed the most and they typically need the least amount of training. Also, they don't even pay a poverty wage to the vast majority of minor league guys.
  18. And just increase lux tax calculation by the amount you're potentially paying minimum wage guys.
  19. So glad that they couldn't re-sign Mookie, but are planning on buying another sports franchise.
  20. It's been all downhill for baseball ever since they popped Pete Rose. In 87, everyone knew people were using roids, but nobody cared. Baseball was fun. Bart Giamatti ruined baseball. Even God knew this by smiting him a few days later.
  21. Back in the 80's, Perry's cheating was cute and endearing. It was never shown as being nefarious on This Week in Baseball. Clay using Bullfrog on his arm wasn't seen that way. And what Clay was doing made it safer for the hitters.
  22. CBA needs to shorten the pre-arb years at the very least.
  23. I feel like Covey was getting beat up every time I saw him pitch. I'm surprised at his FIP.
  24. Are they going to kick out all the guys in the 70's who were doing greenies?
  25. I doubt that'll be in the next CBA.
