  1. It's also early in the year. Doesn't offense pick up during the warmer months of the season? Too soon to tell?
  2. I wouldn't mind the k's and lack of balls in play if there was a pitch CLOCK and batters had to keep one foot in the box.
  3. Excuse me sir, but I have the market on posting like a teenage girl on here, not you.
  4. I was just questioning moon’s idea that there wasn’t a doubt that he should be making more.
  5. What are you talking about? People were clamoring for him to sign for 300M before the pandemic claiming it was stupid to not take the $$$.
  6. It was such a bargain that the Sox should have tried to offer him that!
  7. "TEAM FRIENDLY" $360M deal.
  8. Also shows that we could have DFA'd him earlier in the year like I was pining for. BUT HE DOESN'T HAVE OPTIONS!
  9. @jcmccaffrey RHP Austin Brice cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Worcester
  10. Hope Ozuna isn't as loud at Fenway as he was in 2020.
  11. 2019 Rule 5 Draft: Arauz - on taxi squad Espinal - 4 G, 21 IP, 21 K, 4.71 ERA, 1.24 WHIP (went 5 Innings, 1 ER, 9 K, 1 BB, 2 H last time out) in AAA first season back from TJS Espada - 4 G, 3 IP, 1 ER, 1.00 WHIP in A+
  12. If his defense wasn't still a work in progress, maybe they'd be more inclined to bring him up. He's a great prospect and he'll be fun to watch once called up. I think they should be a little careful with him.
  13. Also, wrong date again. Let's see if it works.
  14. At least it's in an AL park!
  15. Right, "when he's called up." I don't know if he's ready yet. I think the Sox will take their time to polish the upper echelon players before they are called up. Guys like Dalbec and Chavis can be put through the ringer at any point. Future All Stars like Duran should be treated differently.
  16. I don't think it was.
  17. I didn't say it would. I have said that I think he keeps the 19.35 in lieu of extra years. I didn't say he'd opt out for 4/60. I questioned whether 15AAV was enough to have him opt out. I don't think it is. Opt out make more sense for younger players who can get similar $$$'s for more years, not a 25% pay cut.
  18. This is assuming that he makes $0 after 2022 if he keeps the 19.35. Maybe he bets on himself and realizes that he could still probably get 14AAV after 2022?
  19. At 14AAV. You think JD would take that?
