  1. As was reported, he only visited teams with AZ Spring Training sites. Seems like the Sox were never an option for him?
  2. They already reset the cap. His current salary shouldn't be an issue for a large market team like the Sox.
  3. @alexspeier Cora says Sox are still figuring out who will take Sale’s spot. Houck and Whitlock both being stretched, there are early off-days, so Sox still mapping out plans.
  4. We'll have lots of cap room to work with considering all the guys who will be out of here in November. Hiding JBJ's salary will be the least of our concerns.
  5. Last year's team still got to the ALCS. He's going to need to fall on his face before my gut stops saying "he knows about this s*** much more than any of us dopes."
  6. He'll be able to rest during all those road trips to TOR when he gets left at home.
  7. If you are bad enough that the guys on SoxProspects are openly stating their concern for his future, it must have been pretty bad.
  8. BTW, I already answered that for you. You can scout all the boxscores you'd like, but when actual scouts are saying his velo is down 3-5 mph and that his stuff won't play at a higher level, I have to give preference to that. His actual pitching wasn't as good last year. His results were ok, but that won't amount to much up in BOS.
  9. Freeman, maybe? Correa, no.
  10. Who aside from guys on the A's?
  11. Brett Anderson JA Happ Archer Boyd Pineda Greinke Cueto LeBlanc Shoemaker Davies Duffy Cahill Urena Smyly Arrieta Harvey Folty I don't see them going for Greinke. Maybe Duffy? The rest of that list is filled with injury concerns, performance concerns and legal concerns.
  12. moon will get his wish and we'll see Seabold up.
  13. @Buster_ESPN Chris Sale, a stress fracture in his rib cage. Won’t be ready for the start of the season.
  14. I've heard they've had a lot of interest!
  15. He was SOFT. He needed to play in a warm climate closer to his home like Chicago.
  16. https://twitter.com/dril/status/549425182767861760?lang=en
  17. I can ignore 2020. Bloom found success in 2021 with under the radar moves (Kiké, Renfroe, Pivetta, Iggy). He's going to need another poor season before I start to really question his roster construction. I can't blame him for not going above the CBT. That's an ownership decision.
  18. The teams that win the offseason/trading deadline don't typically win the WS.
  19. Doesn't mean Bloom will grab one.
  20. @thekapman After meeting with the #Cubs front office and chairman Tom Ricketts on Monday evening, Japanese star Seiya Suzuki has agreed to a 5 year/70 million dollar deal with the Chicago Cubs. #TakeThat
  21. I don't see it.
  22. The grind of avoiding vendors looking for payment? Sure.
  23. I'm not so sure. Bleis is so far away. I'm not sure he's more likely to contribute at the MLB level than many of the names that come after him. Also, I don't think Jimenez ever makes MLB.
  24. Seems like the nonsense on here continues even if I take a vacation day. Weird.
