  1. I think he was trying to say BA/OPS, not OBP/SLG. An OBP of 200 and SLG of 700 would be crazy cupcakes.
  2. Excluding last season, Diekman's Whiff, Brl, xBA and xSLG have been elite. Seems like Bloom is expecting a bounce back. The launch angle and barrel % from last year are kinda concerning though. I'm not sure how great an idea it is to rely on 35 year old relievers.
  3. The year JBJ hit 225, his OPS was 740.
  4. https://twitter.com/TheSavBananas/status/1509153481373880321 File under 1978 Starting Rotation Thread.
  5. Hernández CF, Devers 3B, Bogaerts SS, Martinez DH, Verdugo LF, Story 2B, Dalbec 1B, Bradley Jr. RF, Vázquez C, Houck P
  6. Since 2016: Trevor Story: 21.6 fWAR, 112 WRC+, net positive defender up the middle, great baserunner Hunter Renfroe 5.8 fWAR, 106 WRC+, net negative defender in corner OF, poor baserunner Just rearranging the chairs over here... Granted, Schwarber wasn't replaced, but he only had 168 PA's last season. Unless you are trying to say that Story is as good at one position as Renfroe and Schwarber were as good at two positions? If so, then as long as JBJ is a positive fWAR guy, the team will be better off.
  7. If he's hitting 165, it's a problem. If he's hitting 225, you live with it.
  8. @redsoxstats Crawford with 5 K in his 2 innings. His 1 walk probably should have been called strike 3 as well. He got 6 swing and misses. Very impressive looking outing.
  9. Ted, If we need another person, notin said he's willing to join. DM him directly.
  10. @redsoxstats Kutter Crawford is sitting 96-97 mph on statcast right now. Hello. Put him in the pen please.
  11. REG was my least favorite. AUD was cake for me since I had been auditing for a while before taking the exam. I think BEC was the most annoying to study for though.
  12. The more the merrier. https://www.talksox.com/forum/threads/20002-2021-TalkSox-Fantasy-Baseball-League-Mike-Grace-Memorial-League?p=1454500#post1454500 $20 and you'll get to forever tell everyone you know more about baseball than me, A700, Thunder, iOrtiz, JBay and others.
  13. Not great!
  14. @redsoxstats No troubles in the outfield for Arroyo https://twitter.com/redsoxstats/status/1508871635968925704 Arroyo is already better than JD in the OF.
  15. @stephenethom Joe Castiglione: The Pirates actually lead the Grapefruit league in home runs. Will Flemming: And what does that tell you? Castiglione: That it's been a very windy spring. Castig needs one run as a tv broadcaster.
  16. It's crazy how much of an afterthought he was in that trade.
  17. No, you and A700 are the same person. You can disprove this by joining the fantasy league this season. If not, you're the same poster.
  18. This one is funnier. Like, who sent the second runner? Here's a compilation: The compilation only includes one other instance.
  19. @PeteAbe Jonathan Arauz and Bobby Dalbec will start work with bench coach Will Venable tomorrow on learning the outfield. Alex Cora: “We have to prepare ourselves for anything. You never know what can happen in a game." Now I've heard everything.
  20. @redsoxstats Nick Pivetta has struck out 14 batters in his first 9 spring innings. Bum. 5th starter at best.
  21. @PeteAbe If Travis Shaw makes the team, he's the backup first baseman. If not? Cora said Christian Vazquez and Christian Arroyo could handle it. Uh?
  22. @ChrisCotillo Hansel Robles is still not in Red Sox camp due to visa issues. His minor league deal became official on 3/19.
  23. I kinda agree.
