I don't want to move him to 1b because it makes no sense if you have an amazing prospect who will be your fulltime 1b by the end of the summer.
I have said numerous times that they should transition him to LF. However, they don't have anyone who can take over fulltime at 3b. Dalbec isn't that guy.
Only exception would be some athletic marvel who can sneak by I guess? It takes a certain amount of fortitude to even catch a can of corn in front of 30,000 people.

(UPDATED) Per MILB dot com's transactions, the Red Sox have made a round of cuts, releasing 1B Cuba Bess, IF Jake Mackenzie, OFs Cole Brannen, Dean Miller, and Angel Maita, and RHPs Zach Schellenger and Yasel Santana
2017 2nd rounder
He's adequate if he plays like 2019. He's not good if he plays like 2021. The trouble is, I'd keep him at 3b because the viable alternative is a guy who many wanted benched during 2021 and was worth 4 less WAR. It makes more sense to keep Devers at 3b until you can move a legit guy there (Xander for Mayer, Blaze Jordan if he develops, FA acquisition, etc.). It makes no sense to move Devers to 1b since you have a top prospect who should be manning that position for the long term starting sometime this summer.
Transition Devers to DH. Transition him to LF. Flipping him to 1b today makes no sense.
Over 67 innings, Dalbec has a career -2 DRS at 3b. That comes out to -38 DRS over 1300 innings. Not good at all.
As much as everyone hates on Devers at 3b, Dalbec is WORSE.

Arroyo still getting reps in the OF. Story at his future home?
@PeteAbe
Sox are enthused about the progress James Paxton is making with his TJ rehab. He’s ahead of schedule. Throwing short bullpens already.
They are going to need the help. Hard to see him pitching a full 1.5 years here though.
@YankeesWFAN
Major breakthrough for baseball fans. Starting next week MLB umpires will now use a microphone to announce replay review decisions to the crowd. NFL style. This is a welcome change and will help fans better understand the outcomes.
I guess out vs safe was too confusing?
No, it's fine because we already have a good idea what his bb/k rate would be. If he's hitting 225, he's getting on base. If he's only hitting 165, it's a nightmare.
