    I wanted to DFA him weeks ago. I think there are a few AAA guys that need to at least be given a shot. We've seen guys like Schreiber make a difference. Maybe someone like Ort, German, Politi, Bazardo, Kelly can do the same. Robles just doesn't have it.

    @SmittyOnMLB Red Sox prospect Ceddanne Rafaela went 2-for-3 was promoted to Portland on June 7. Since then, he has gone 18-for-59 (.305) with a .333 on-base percentage, .712 slugging percentage, 1.045 OPS, five homers, five doubles and two triples, 10 runs and 14 RBIs in 15 games. I thought Rafaela would take a little step back in AA and was concerned about his k/bb rate, but damn... He has a .302 AVG, but a .293 BABIP. Part of it is a hot streat, but damn... Rocket ship time?

    He pitched well last year too. I don't know why they didn't give him any run at all. Relievers are so fungible that I don't see the harm in giving a guy a shot. The last two 40 man spots are usually filled with nonsense anyway.

    Armando Sierra is straight up mashing for DSL - Blue. @SoxProspects Armando Sierra went 3-for-5 with a double (8) and an RBI (17) in today's 7-6 DSL Red Sox Blue win. The 18-year-old first baseman is slashing .466/.530/.707 with two home runs over 66 PA. The only note they have on him at SP is Outfielder Armando Sierra signed for $150,000 in January 2021 and though his numbers do not yet show it, his power potential is impressive. He is a below-average athlete and does not project to add much defensive value, but he has big-time raw power. He gets his whole body into his swing, but there are significant questions with his hit tool that could limit his power utility against more advanced pitching.

    And with him scuffling a little at the plate, I see less of a reason to get him on the 40. If he was 5 years younger, I may have a different opinion on it.

    Personally, I would have DFA’d Arroyo and added Sanchez at some point.

    Fitzgerald has been really bad since June 1. He was really hot in April, but not as good since May 1. Downs was called up because he's on the 40 man, not because of merit.

    Per Pete Abraham, Xander talked himself out of a day off. Duran CF, Refsnyder RF, Martinez DH, Bogaerts SS, Verdugo LF, Story 2B, Vázquez C, Dalbec 1B, Downs 3B (has never played here professionally)

    Crawford can't make the trip to TOR either. He was on the restricted list the last time they went to TOR.

    I was like, what the hell is this idiot talking about now and googled "french donut." You're thinking of what Dunkin Donuts once called a French Cruller, but now has retired due to supply chain issues. Did you know that they aren't really French? They are Dutch! Also, if you are in New England, just go to Honey Dew and get their Cruller instead. Does the hollow earth look like a donut? IDK. It's probably more like one of those big plastic baseballs for toddlers if you drilled a hole through it. I think. Maybe.
