  1. Early has more MLB IP at his age than Guidry did. Catfish stopped being able to pitch at age 30 for some reason. In Morris's first full MLB season (28 G, age 23), he only threw 106 IP.
  2. Top 100 Pitchers: Tolle, Early, Witherspoon
  3. Send the Cora Regime to a farm upstate.
  4. This is Connor Wong erasure.
  5. It's based on eligibility. Early is at 24.2 IP and less than 45 days. Campbell is at 229 AB's and more than 45 days. Rookie status is exhausted once a player: (1) has more than 130 at-bats in the majors; (2) has pitched more than 50 innings in the majors; or (3) has been on an active major league roster for more than 45 days (not including time on the injured list).
  6. The offensive top 20 prospects (per SoxProspects): #2 Franklin Arias - SS - AA (709 OPS in High A last year) #8 Justin Gonzales - OF - A+ (804 OPS in A last year) #9 Dorian Soto - SS - FCL #11 Henry Godbout - 2B/SS - A+ (1st pro season) #12 Mikey Romero - 2B/3B - AAA (745 OPS in AAA last year) #15 Enddy Azocar - OF - A #16 Allan Castro - OF - AAA (753 OPS in AA last year) #17 Hector Ramos - SS - FCL #18 Harold Rivas - OF - FCL Of these guys, only Romero and Castro have a reasonable chance of playing in BOS this year. Castro has gotten off to an ice cold start. Romero had a 30% k rate at AAA last season. He needs to show that can come down considerably before he's ever called up. His power is legit if he can cut down the whiff rate. Much easier said than done and would get eaten alive if called up.
  7. There's nobody coming that is remotely ready to play IF/OF/C.
  8. How is that going to fix the amount of pitches that Early threw? He only went 5.1 in his first start. If he came in for the 3rd, he wouldn't have finished the game without going over 100 pitches (he's never thrown that many in a single game professionally). It was wrong for them to have him throw that much in his first start of the season. They need to manage his innings and having him coming in after an opener doesn't fix that. Openers are typically LHP anyway.
  9. 2 and 3 are slam dunks. 4 is backed up by their terrible k rates in recent seasons. Unsure how to quantify 1. I'm sure someone could look into 5, but that's not going to be me.
  10. He only knows how to manage one way and it doesn't work anymore. The lack of communication is just going to create a lot of friction when your team leader (Story) is a very quiet guy to begin with. If there wasn't a WBC and the team had more time to gel in ST, maybe things would look differently. Maybe not.
  11. 2025 Splits: Durbin 717/722 Mayer 416/739 It's not a wonder TBH.
  12. I think YOU don't like Mayer and it affects every post you make about him.
  13. It's Opening Day for Greenville! Tomorrow is Opening Day for Portland and Salem!
  14. Cora putting players where the can succeed is 100% on Cora, a failing manager. 👎
  15. I wouldn't pay Contreras what Alonso got either.
  16. Don't listen to that stuff. It'll rot your brain. Just read my posts instead. They'll nourish your soul.
  17. Contreras is better than Pete Alonso. He'll have more WAR than him by the EOY.
  18. Contreras: 20+ HR's 6 seasons >20 HR 4 seasons (includes COVID and partial rookie year) 162 Game Avg 26 HR
  19. He was a C for most of his career which ate into his power. He was a fulltime 1b for the first time last season and hit 20 HR in a terrible HR park.
  20. 1. The team never seems to show up ready or prepared. 2. The team has no clue how to handle the ABS system. 3. The team has been bad defensively for years. 4. The team has had a bad approach at the plate for years. 5. The team doesn't seem to play well from behind.
  21. I gave Cora the benefit of the doubt through many rough seasons. Last year, he didn't show up with his best self and really wasn't able to handle the internal drama (and was a large part of it). Since this team is already tilting a bit from the get go, seems that he no longer has anyone's ear.
