Yamamoto is available, for one. Other teams get good value from the IFA market, as well as the secondary FA market? Why can't the Red Sox do it? They also have minor league depth in many positions, but not a hitter like Casas or Devers in the MiLB system. It's a matter of common sense.

You don't think it works that way in Canada too? A person who is not of age does not have the ability to provide consent. A relationship of sexual nature with a person unable to provide consent is the equivalent of a felony in dominican law. If true, he gone.

He's being accused of habitually dating underage girls then paying them off. But this is all still just rumor and innuendo. They are now reporting here that she has a kid, and has pictures drinking booze. But neither of those preclude her from being underage.

Like in the US, that's statutory rape here, which is a criminal offense. If this is all true, he's f***ed. Age of consent here is 18, and there's no legal exception of any sort to condone this. Had the matter been handled privately he might have been able to get away with paying them (and some of the authorities) off, but cat's out of the bag now.

True. But I personally hold low-patience, high k% guys in low regard. But that opinion is part of my set of biases.

Miguel Cabrera, Nick Castellanos, Kyle Schwarber and Giancarlo Stanton are all examples of higher-paid "DH-types" than Yoshida, whose current 9.6 dollar value portends to him being worth slightly below his contract for this season, but an adjustment period was to be expected. The problem here is that you're making a lot of assumptions. Hernandez' lack of plate discipline portends to production erosion as he ages, with little hope for a bounce-back, no matter how motivated he is.

It's all over the news here. How it's being told here is that she told him she was of age, but had not acquired her Birth Certificate and other documents, because of problems with her mother's documentation. She brought him back to her house, where her mother confirmed she was of age, and just had some documentation issues. He proceeded to start having sex with her, and they proceeded to extort him by asking for 200K and a Mercedes. The mom's a scumbag and he's a f***ing idiot.
