  1. That he did, mate. That he did.
  2. Kike was option D. And haven't Andrus and Iglesias not worked out at all?
  3. Which is why I'm fine w¡th not supplementing this roster with rental only players.
  4. The FO doesn't give a rat's ass about what they say, or think. If they did, they would have sold the farm for pitching. Clearly they did not.
  5. Wasn't the offseason pretty advanced by that point? And didn't they also get Mondesi Jr. under the idea that he'd be ready by Opening Day?
  6. Why would you assume Whitlock, Sale and/or Houck would be both healthy and effective the rest of the way? Houck and Whitlock proved neither, and Sale can get batters out, but apparently in 40 IP intervals....
  7. So like the Platinum Glove is to the Gold Glove, the Kike award is to the Iron Mitt?
  8. You mean like Story, or Chang?
  9. I was clearly relying on hyperbole, but I've been consistent in saying that this is a flawed roster. Help what? This team still has bad infield D and a entire rotation in the IL. For me, it was either find someone who can help this year and at least the next, or bust. But that's just me.
  10. Every time I see a Mookie Betts highlight, I shed a tear. He also has the coolest name in baseball. Oh, what could have been.
  11. None of this matters if it doesn't fit with the price of players of prospects, the control time, or overall price of the available players. Some people here seem to think other teams have to trade their players to the Red Sox for a just package no matter what, and that's not how it works. Not only that, for the thousandth time, if the players could run the team, they wouldn't need the FO. That appeal to authority fallacy is both tired and incorrect even in this context.
  12. If Kike had been average defensively, this team might have been in possession of a WC slot right now.
  13. It seems like people here thought adding Jack Flaherty and a reliever would make up for pretty much this team's entire rotation being a hospital.
  14. Weren't you talking smack about the Jays and how they're not good and all that nonsense? They looked fine this weekend.
  15. When everyone has a problem with you, without exception, you're the problem. You come to this board with the express idea of making everyone who ever so slightly enjoys this team miserable. I thought you stopped watching the Sox?
  16. It's like you're me, but probably white, and not as fat.
  17. Note: All teams in a division being .500 or better in August is about as likely as dying by being shot out of a cannon to a giant's bull's eye located at the very bottom of the grand canyon.
  18. You clearly don't know what you're talking about. The Yankees are cooked, but Toronto has actually underperformed, and Tampa is just a monster of a team. You made a dumb argument and now you have to actually downgrade the entire league in order to backpedal. Hilarious!
  19. This post is bad, and you should feel bad.
  20. A winning record is what counts the most, but only when/if it suits your argument. Got it.
  21. Wait, what? A winning record is exactly what measures whether you're good or not. Stop moving the goalposts.
  22. They will sign Yama-San.
  23. Bro, the Al East has been historically good this year, and the AL West boasts two juggernauts in Houston and Texas. What are you even talking about?
  24. No you don't.
  25. Which is why the team isn't in a better position right now.
