  1. A) You're dreaming, take the rose-colored glasses off. B ) That makes absolutely no sense.
  2. I don't think they will this year for two reasons: A) It's highly likely the Sox will be in a full-out battle for the AL wild-card berth until the very end. B ) They know they have to be very careful to maintain the kid's confidence level up. Having him look overmatched in a couple AB's against major league pitching is not going to help.
  3. Not possibly in September. If the FO is smart he won't sniff the Majors in September, April, May, June, July or August. What he needs is to stay in the minors. Again, it's called development for a reason. If blue-chippers like Evan Longoria and Joe Mauer didn't smell the Majors until their respective FO's deemed them ready, why should Iglesias who hasn't even played college ball?
  4. Again with "hypothetically". Just come to terms with the fact that Iglesias ain't sniffing the majors next year, and if he does, either something went terribly wrong with the season, or the FO is being incredibly stupid.
  5. He could've had an "Over 9,000" OPS in the AFL. He still needs time for cultural adjustment and a full-time role in the minors. It's called development for a reason.
  6. The problem was you saying "That Cuban prospect we signed" instead of taking the time of looking up his name "Jose Iglesias" just like you did now that you've been called out on it.
  7. Agreed 110%. I disagree with Jacko on one thing, i've seen both him and Yadier play quite a bit, and Yadier is light years away from Bengie in terms of defense.
  8. Batting average is the worst way to analyze a player's worth. He had a .727 OPS last year, which is respectable for a catcher, and a better indicative of a player's overall value.
  9. Stop copying my style, holmes.
  10. The problem is that such a sudden performance spike could spell a flukey season. He's had one good, full season.
  11. He's solid, and can play multiple positions, but he would cost prospects, and there are solid options who would only cost money. So why trade for him?
  12. Well half the board states otherwise (and i'm not claiming half the board PM'd me when it was only one guy trying to make fun of me because that would be lying, oh wait.....) so if i was you, i would check myself. Again, you talking about credibility is like Bill Clinton talking about the benefits of being faithful while on a monogamous relationship: Complete and utter ********.
  13. Two years between two strictly contact hitters with minimal power is a long time. Not to mention that Hudson's a switch-hitter besides being younger.
  14. Anything more than three years raises a warning flag though.
  15. Maybe the fact that Polanco is two years older, and the fact that he's a 34-year-old coming from a sub-400 SLG season? There is no "hate" it's just the fact that he's not that good anymore.
  16. Orlando Hudson please.
  17. Indeed, i have been shamed. However, he STILL wouldn't be one of the worst, he'd probably be slightly below average.
