  1. Because OAA uses the statcast system, and takes into consideration a fielder's position before calculating the outcome of individual fielding chances.
  2. I really like Montgomery.
  3. Kershaw is not signing with anyone else. I'd take a flyer on either of the other two options though.
  4. Not all pitchers age the same, as you know. Had that mid-30's pitcher been Morton instead of Kluber, we wouldn't be having this conversation.
  5. Doesn't.....doesn't Triston Casas do all of that?
  6. The hit pieces are hinting at Bloom being very indecisive and that issue frustrating both Cora and Kennedy. It's been mentioned by multiple outlets, even here in "Columbia student says we hate haitians" land.
  7. That's actually a pretty good one.
  8. I've changed my mind on Gray. I saw an interview where he revealed his poor results with the Yankees came from them forcing him to throw a lot more sliders in his sequencing, and he considers his slider to not be a pitch he has good command or control over, but rather a K pitch or a change of pace breaking ball. Looking at his stats and bottom-line results from both that season and that point forward, it makes sense. He's a guy they should pursue as a #2 option.
  9. It's like rain on my wedding day?
  10. If it's in response to this post, don't you think I'd be talking about Schwarber?
  11. JH can do whatever the f*** he wants. It's his team. That being said, he needed a scapegoat, and had a perfectly suitable Bloom sitting right there.
  12. Lots of walks. No one wants to throw him a pitch he can pull.
  13. Devers is a year-in, year-out top-25 offensive player. What the hell are you even talking about?
  14. Please go away.
  15. Right about what? This seems like a humblebrag to me, and not a good one.
  16. I tend to disagree. I think he's pretty damn good.
  17. Or David Ortiz, or Kyle Schwarber.
  18. Yoshida will be fine. It's not unusual for Japanese players to tire out and have the second half blues in their first season.
  19. Ted, what does this add to the discussion man? (I agree, maybe not on the who, but still.)
  20. Cora being a good manager and terrible results are not mutually exclusive. This roster was a s***-show. Anyone who says Cora is a bad manager is delusional. If they go with a new voice, it wasn't because of a lack of effectiveness by Cora.
  21. Combination of both. But I've said since the beginning of the season, that this roster lacked coherence and cohesion.
  22. At this point, it's a competition of my wits against your unwarranted sense of self importance.
  23. Is the point him being likeable of bringing in results?
  24. I stayed up all night because I had the runs and didn't think much. When I did think, I wasn't thinking about idiots. I'm from the Dominican Republic, and have said so multiple times. Please go away.
