  1. Yeah, there are sexier pitchers out there with better stuff, but John Lannan is a quality lefty who is "capable of logging major innings" (according to his scouting report). I like his frame, his age, and his sweeping yacker. Definitely not an ace, but certainly a serviceable mid-rotation starter.
  2. John Lannan
  3. Rasmus is a good pick. He's got power and speed. Don't know how much playing time he'll get, though, as the Cardinals' 4th outfielder. Posey was a beast in college. Zumaya is a talent to be sure, but he spends more time on the DL than on the field.
  4. I would've picked Shin-Soo Choo, but I'm concerned about his situation with the mandatory 2-year military service before he's 30 in Korea. He might be exempt from it, but that hasn't happened yet.
  5. Corey Hart, OF
  6. I was raised a Cubs fan, but I've gradually become more of a Sox fan over the years, especially when I realized that a lot of my favorite players were on the Sox.
  7. Awesome move by Kenny Williams. Had to be done. The team is stagnant right now. Approve the f***ing trade, Peavy! Makes Jim Hendry look bad for not closing the deal in the offseason. And I hate Jim Hendry, so that's a good thing.
  8. Yeah, I definitely wanted Hermida. *sighs* Good pick.

  10. Dojji, I think you meant Greinke instead of Kazmir in the other thread.
  11. B.J. Upton is a lot more proven than Billy Butler.
  12. I like the Cust pick. He's got power, gets on base, and is only 30. I wanted to fill all of my positions before I got a DH, but I couldn't pass up Dunn. And since he can't play defense to save his life, I knew I had to make him a DH. If I had picked a good first baseman or corner outfielder in the second round instead of my brain fart pick of Cano, I wouldn't have been in this position. Don't get me wrong: I like Cano, but I took him way too early. That's the only pick I've made that I can honestly say was a mistake.
  13. Good lord. Dunn, Youkilis, Pedroia, Bay, Lowell, and Drew would be pretty f***ing formidable. Nobody could have known Ortiz would be this bad, though.
  14. I, too, wanted Ellsbury. Knew it was a long shot that he'd fall to me. For some reason, I intensely dislike Billy Butler.
  15. Apparently, Andre Ethier is a mediocre player without Manny Ramirez.
  16. Ben Gordon's status with the Bulls is up in the air. He might be available.
  17. Call it morbid curiosity, but I wonder if Nick Adenhart would have been on anyone's board...
  18. Adam Dunn is like Drago. Whatever he hits he destroys. I needed more pop in my lineup, and Dunn will certainly provide that for at least 3 more years. Can't field, so I made him a DH.
  19. Adam Dunn, DH
  20. LOL @ Mike Pelfrey.
  21. Had a feeling Jacko was going to take Slowey after today's performance. Good pick. The guy has unbelievable control.
  22. K-Rod is allegedly only 27 and has been a Top 5 closer this decade. I see no reason why that will change in the next 5 years. I might have gone with Joe Nathan, but I didn't realize he was so old.
  23. Francisco Rodriguez, RP
